JDM-TOY
I went and had a look at this 240z and it neeeeeed heaps of work. Has rust in all the usual places and interior is messed up. Car had a vinyl roof that has rusted and cracked the paint, looks like bog is cracking up from the rust. Boot hatch hinge has snapped off and is hanging on one hinge. Has had a hit at the front, bumper and bonnet damaged. I honestly don't think it's worth what he is asking for and there were probably things I missed too. Agno
It says in the ad it's an L20 and a GTX model, the 4 cylinder hako is G16 powered so I assume (without seeing engine shots) this is a long nose. I like that it doesn't have flares, that's got to be a bit of a novelty these days!

Administrators gav240z Posted July 1, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted July 1, 2017 What does that mean??? Does that make it a series 2? I'm not a huge fan of the Series 1 Series 2 nomenclature as it's very North American centric and really where does Series 1 end and Series 2 start? The answer is there is no black and white line, more shades of grey.. but to play along. Yes it's technically a 71 model and therefore lacks some of the early features like vented rear hatch. The compliance plate is interesting as it's clearly for another 240z, I think we can assume HS30 00138 met her demise long ago...not all early S30Z's had compliance plates anyway, so maybe someone nicked 1 as they had issues registering it at some stage without? It's a very early 71 however, so still has the dual choke set up, it has the early AM radio if my eyes don't deceive me (photos don't zoom well) and looks to be a very honest original car. At it's current price it's an absolute steal provided the rust worm hasn't taken hold. Although given how early build it is, it really doesn't matter in my opinion. I'm surprised it's still listed on carsales to be frank.

ZED660
It is an LE model Velocette. An old English bike with a watercooled flat twin motor. It was used extensively by the Police in the UK in the 50's. gav240z

cracker
A friend of mine had a look at this and decided to pass based on a poorly repaired floor section which indicated it had taken a fairly heavy hit at some point. He still thinks it's a good buy but just wasn't worth the effort for him. Otherwise it's very rust free and very original. Can't explain the incorrect compliance plate. I've uploaded all the pics to dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3wkx4tg4fnxkimm/AAAvGTwf5bgyUn-GoE-_dg-ja?dl=
