The main value difference is usually RHD vs LHD. So I don't see why not? Not many cars sold into NZ (240z's) so I'm not entirely sure on specification differences but from what I've gathered not many.

It's still an HS30.

Re NZ 240Zs - AFAIK there were a few hundred 240Zs sold new. Quite a number of others followed in succeeding years being imported as used cars either as ex-JDM by dealer importers or as personal imports by returning expats. From what I've seen a few LHD cars arrived but most are RHD, some may have been converted but LHD rego is no problem there.

I've heard the NZ-new cars described on this forum as 'world RHD spec'. Little different to Aus-new cars really, base spec but some differences due to the Australian Design Rules eg. am no expert on those but from what I've derived and observed both there and here the blue tint glass and factory clip-together 3-piece seat-belts seemed to have been disallowed in favour of clear glass and locally sourced belts.

Oh wow, yes very rare indeed... I've always wanted 1.

S54B - Prince Skyline GT-B with the Triple Webers and 100L fuel tank, LSD etc..

Not many left in the country. But they did sell them new here (around 400 or so I believe).

Some photos here.

Given how rare they are to find for sale these days, I'm not sure it's really that far from reality.

Although this 1 in Japan sold for around $26k AUD recently (not sure if reserve was met?)

This project car was asking about $12k AUD. (price has gone silly after auction ended, not sure why?)

There is another in Adelaide here.

and I know of at least 1 other in a Barn in NSW...not sure what the owner would sell it for though!

If I didn't already have too many projects I'd get 1 myself.

They haven't reached the crazy price point of the KPGC10 or KGC10's and the mania around those. They seem to have been overlooked...

Just made contact with the owner. I love these things and hopefully this will be my next resto project.

Does anyone know the car or the owner ?

There are a group of Prince Skyline owners in Melbourne which we call the "Prince Mafia" because of how tightly they have a grip on almost anything classic Nissan and Datsun among the local clubs. They prefer to stay out of the limelight for the most part and I would guess there are over 10 Skyline GTA and GTBs in that group.

Hi Agno,

Are you able to PM contact details for any of the members ? I always like to talk to a few owners about parts availabilty etc.

When I restored my zed I would have loved the range of repro parts that are availabkle now.

I'd say unfinished project doesn't help. Funny thing is wouldn't take much to make it look more complete.

yeah agreed on both points.

to me, if the rust and paint's been done, and done properly, that's most of the hard work that i couldn't do myself or with the help of friends. well i'm waiting to hear back from a potential seller of a complete, running 2+2, if not, ill get in touch with this guy i think

has anyone on here gone and seen this 2+2, or know of the car? i know its been advertised for a while, seems like a good base, just curious why it has gone yet, other than the owner probably wanting more than people are willing to pay.

If that's the car I'm thinking of it (the colour was the same) was for sale in Brisbane maybe 4 years ago (was asking around 4-5k at the time). I took a look at it with a friend. Was solid but the paint did have some runs in it.

if the body work is good, i am happy with average paint job, its only cosmetic, and this wont be a show car. i want one as a weekend car/project
