At the time I didn't like the idea of exposed holes and wanted a cleaner look, thought the carpet would stick to this better, also looking to make it more structually sound for T top, rember these cars were only worth 4k then, no one would spend 20k doing rust repairs, cars sales I bought it off used spray foam, and pop rivets and steel road signs with layers of bog to cover up with, that's how things were done then. Car racing mob next door remarked about was a Datsun really worth all tne work I was doing.
-
The sills are still behind that, it was done in 1988 they were fine then, at the time you couldn't buy replacement floors and was better than the signs that were bogged in.it is a massive job to replace the floors, why would you do them they are structually sound and not seen under carpet.

That 240z I posted back one page has not sold yet and he has dropped the price. Price drop to $5800. This is a firm price, will not come down any further than that,so dont ask a bit over dealing with dreamers, Its worth more for parts than what Im asking and its a viable project for anyone with some skills. had 3 ppl so far tell me its sold, then back out. I need money for another project. so I want it goneski...It was good value at 7k, but it appears transport costs are scaring ppl.hence the drop. He has just posted it is sold now.3.00pm. -

Cuppa tea time #15

They would be better than the other ones you looked at or the one from Jcar that PB posted, I have had so many of the other type break or give bad connections.
-
This would be my choice, the cheap type you are looking at ends up with bad connections or broken wire, this type crimps it all the way around just as good as a solder join, then I would put a heat shrink on as well. That type of wire stripper I have had several different ones, they all broke and ended in the bin, I just use wire cutters for cutting and stripping .
