3 grand??? How bad are those $400 ones on eBay then???

I know all 240z come in all sorts of conditions (ie rust, dents etc)....for those of you that have had a full respray, rust cut out, and if anyone has taken it back to bare metal. What’s everyone spent on paint jobs....and not what you told the mrs it cost...

So what you expect to pay for rust at this level? Scope would be rust cut out, primer and paint?

Spoke to the guy this morning, he said green one all original with matching numbers and the one in better condition. Chassis is belted with rust but salvageable. Red one has an L26 in it. Red one as doner unless you have deep pockets. He did say he has a few callers already today and one guy going out this afternoon to have a look. Not negotiable on price as it "owes him more" than his selling it. Wealth of knowledge you are Gav!

Think it's worth it? Have been thinking about this....

It did cross my mind, just not sure on how much the resto would cost.... have plus or minus 30k to play with. Just thinking to buy something in better nick and do minor work rather than 12months in the shop

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between a short block and a long block?

It's the early style console ones I'm after. That's the one with the dual levers. So many nice ones have popped up but not the dual lever ones. From what i can see, the dual lever ones without the rear vents in the hatch are from chassis number 500 - 1500. Unsure of month but think it may be between 2/71 to 11/71. Had no idea about the different gearbox numbers. Good to know. 71A's pros and cons?
