No, the floors are bonded with Fusior panel adhesive. The screws you see are stainless m4 flanged button heads used for clamping. and are now seam sealed.

Main reason being I have seen very few neat buttwelds on new floors on the thin and fragile centre tunnel steel.

Just spoke with the owner and someone local to WA is looking this week. Matching numbers and 100% complete so I am guessing it will go.

If the owner calls me I will PM you to discuss, maybe the old slab payment system can make a comeback.

Cool, if there are overlapping flanges all round then this should be stronger than your average weld in job. A bit of a write up with pics in the Body work section would be good,

Has anyone seen this car, seems good value at the moment for 20K.

All I know is that it's changed hands a few times in the past 12 months. Not sure why?

Stephanie's bäck with another 240z

A little too much for me to handle but putting it out there for the people.

Has a v8 302. Not my cup of tea.

Remind me again, who is Stephanie?

It says build date around 12/1971 - But I actually think it's more likely to be the compliance date. Since it has the earlier console and my 72 was built 12/1971 and had the later console.

The body work actually looks reasonable (in photos) such a shame about the engine swap however..

It looks like faded 905 red but description says "orange". Hard to tell for sure..

Are you sure it's the same Stephanie? I got a call back from a guy with an English accent (I emailed the advert to ask about chassis no.) anyway he didn't have the chassis no. handy. I didn't get the impression they were flipping them. Seem to recall he said they had been hauling this 240z with them to a few places over the years. But wouldn't be the first seller to spin a story. Said the original engine was long gone. I asked if it was around just in case...

2-seat Datsun 260z coupe in very good original condition. All original except for twin SU carburetors and car stereo but I still have the original stereo. I've had the car for 28 years and it's been garaged the whole time and not driven for the past ten years. There's only a couple of small spots of surface rust, nothing more. Rare blonde interior (seats and doors). Engine runs well and it could be registered but it's not currently registered as it has been in storage for ten years. This car is an ideal starting point to bring back to original condition - this was my plan but kids and family have taken precedent.
