This car has certainly been through a few hands lately! Getting a bit of attention on the UK Z site atm?

#675. It's a great car, I spoke to the new owner. He's moved onto a new project. It was taken back to bare metal in the UK and restored completely. Only rust spot was the chassis rail below passenger side.

Blue car around Wollongong area. Not the white eBay car.

Yes I thought so, I've picked up the white one yesterday and in far better condition than I expected, rear section is clean, spare tyre well clean, front radiator supports clean, lots of interior is there, floors mostly clean, only section that's rusted through is under the battery tray, but even that doesn't look too bad. Fun times ahead with my first Z :) doesn't seem to be too much bog either. Would be nice to find out who the original owner is and if he/she had the original L24 in their shed! Anyone know what the deal is with registering a car with an L28 with vicroads? Looks to be registered with the L24 last back in 2008

Hi all

I've got a guy in brisvegas looking to sell a 2+2

It looks pretty clean, manual, l26 but not original, yellows says no rust that he knows of.

I've tried to copy paste pics but I'm hopeless with tech

His name is Joe and he was originally after 15k but he is a little negotiable now

His number is

0403585949

Told him I'd post it here and I'm sure he can text some pics

Time to sell my Datsun 1974 240Z.

I've had it since 2000 and am just the third owner.

This is a really solid example of the sought-after two-seat Zed with that marvellous roofline. It is the orange/red colour. Never been near a track, never fitted with any mods such as spoilers or arch extensions.

When I bought it back in 2000, I had some rust cut out of the roof and chassis rails (under the drivers and passenger feet), as well as the battery tray.

I replaced the door seals, centre console, steering rack rubbers and steering column rubber joint. I still have the original seatbelts in a box, but replaced them with modern versions.

When I bought the car, it already had the engine changed over with a 2.6-litre installed (and the original was thrown away), but it retained the awful automatic transmission. I had a 280ZX 5-speed manual installed.

A little while ago, the 2.6 died and was replaced with a standard 2.8-litre from a 280ZX. It still runs the orginial SU carbs.

It comes with the orginal 240Z seats, but they have not been in the car for some time and would need some work to make them usable.

I had 280ZX seats installed which are very confortable, but are a hideous shade of blue, which is why I have seat covers.

It was fitted with some optional alloy wheels when purchased, which are still on the car. I have since purchased alloys that I think are from a 260Z but I'm not certain (I will upload a pic when I get a chance) that would come with the car.

The car is lovely to drive and was recently on club rego until it lapsed - after I forgot to renew it.

It has some rust in the door skins, but is a very solid example. It has been stored inside since I bought it.

The paint is not perfect, with a few imperfections and a ding in the roof, but it isn't bad either.

I'm selling it because I'd like to work on other projects and I think someone else would enjoy this car. It would only require a little work to get it up to a really high standard.

I'm not desperate to sell and won't move far from the asking price given the ever-increasing value of these 240Zs in good shape.

Looks like it has been bought over the weekend before the auction was finished it now lists it as

This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

Congrats if anyone on this forum got it

it's close, i would like something a little more complete, or running, but this might be my only shot at a 2 seater (even though not a 240).

does anyone know the car and/or seen it recently?

Possibly the droid you've been looking for?

It's 1 way to deal with the 2+2 roof line. I just feel s30z's look wrong without a roof.

It did catch my eye also but then I thought about the fact there is 4 bolts holding it in.

In the ebay description for #659 he said he was offered low $30s apparently, if so, he has lost out.

Isn't #659 the car a repair shop posted here about a while ago? He was going to restore it, then disappeared from here.

#659 seems to have sold for $24,490 through Ebay.!!!

I still think asking price is very reasonable based on condition in photos. The bent bonnet nose really annoys me. But it could be far worse in person than photos suggest.

Still restoring a well kept but aged and tired car like this is almost always cheaper than restoring someone's old garden ornament that hasn't moved in 25 years.
