Knight240Z
I agree totally with Gav as the price of these cars will continue to go up. We may have a slight adjustment due to a major FC or something but my bet is that the price will keep on going up after that adjustment. And the reason being is that early Zeds have such a large number of people that appreciate their value and the number of cars in good condition and left unmolested are very few (Rust, neglect, and the fact that these cars only 15-20 years ago where not considered worthy of repair) just didn’t leave many to satisfy gowning demand nowadays. In the US many cars were just left for junk, sold for 500$ so that they can clear some space in the yard/garage and unfortunately most of these cars had a taught life. And don’t get me started on the V8 converted ones, where that sweet L24 was lost forever…

Cozza
Why the bare metal photos of what seems to be a different car? Edited November 18, 2016 by Cozza
gilltech
Ditto Cozza, are those two photos of it in a previous life as a track car? Interesting rear light.
cracker
Looks nice - can you be sure that it's a different car in the progress shots though? The inclusion of the $100 ebay mirrors photo is a nice touch. andyk_79 and gav240z

Cozza
Yeah I'm not a massive fan of the wheels but I'm more disturbed by the tyre stretch myself. Call me old fashioned

See post: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13773-early-girl-bingo-with-photos/?p=185360 One of our excellent clients has his immaculate Datsun 240z FOR SALE and we would dearly love to see it go to a good home. We have recently done some tuning and other work to this car, and to be honest the quality of this car needs to be seen to be believed! enquire through us at the shop if you would like to view the car. Serious interests only please. Below is some of the sellers comments. "The motor is a non original 2600cc running on Wolf engine management. It has recently had some work done at Melbourne Performance Centre in Bayswater including a dyno run and tuning. The car was restored about 10 years ago (bodywork done by The Healey Factory) but hasn't been used much since then. The original motor is included with the car as are some other original parts including the the carbs and airbox, original steering wheel, heater box, and much more. The roll cage is CAMS approved and is “bolt in” and can be removed. The number plate's are not included in the sale."

cracker
Wowsers - getting my hopes up here but I suspect with demand as it is this will end up going for the current prices we are seeing. v8 conversions typically don't attract big money, and 260z typically less than 240z. The seller is obviously happy to receive a pre-auction offer so send them through your max budget and hope for the best! I don't like your chances if you sit and wait for the auction to end and hope for a sub $20k price...

Administrators gav240z Posted November 25, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted November 25, 2016 Hey Lynton, I recall seeing this car several years ago in Victoria. 1 of the most honest examples getting around I'd say. Good luck with the sale. I'll post it on Facebook I know a couple of overseas folks are interested in a 2+2 from Australia. Hope it finds a good home.
