You're saying I may of dodged a bullet?? Haha

I don't think they are dodgy (not here to tarnish anyone's business.) just maybe not as experienced with Japanese cars technically.

1 vote for the 280zx. But you should probably start a new thread.

I am very sorry to hear about this.

Whilst this is a popular thread - you should start a new topic in the 'General Discussions' section like these;

http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/9619-stolen-clients-48mm-webers-manifold-from-our-workshop/

http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11208-stolen-240z-sydney-please-keep-a-lookout/

And the pic did not appear - so make sure that you post one/some.

Hi GongZ, I understand your perspective, but to reduce the risk of club members inadvertantly receiving stolen goods and to increase recovery rates, we need to put details of stolen cars in front of members who are shopping for cars. There aren't that many thefts of club cars that it would clog this thread, and it seems more useful than the numerous 'that's not worth that' comments.

What are others opinions??

I take your point. Maybe you should start a separate thread in addition however. And in view of alerting potential buyers, would it be worthwhile/wise to tell us the chassis and engine numbers?

PS - you still haven't uploaded the "Most recent pic" you referred to.

I agree no harm mentioning it here, since this is the most viewed thread in the classifieds with many subscribers. But... rather than spam this thread I'd start a new thread also and link to it from here.

More details you can provide the better chance we'll have of finding it. My fear is that cars are not stolen for re-sale, rather stolen to be parted out. Given value of parts now and difficulty in sourcing them.

Share it on the car groups on FB. That stuff usually spreads like wildfire and a few cars have been sighted/found as a result of word spreading.

Wow, bloody thieves! Will keep an eye out around some garages also, i am sure they have their eye set on these cars. Any information regarding how it may have been stolen? eg on a trailer or driven away?

This is one of my fears with these cars, once they are gone, finding another one or even replacement projects would be hard and quite expensive. Can't just throw $25k or above again.
