Black go fast sills :).

Pretty sure that car was on the market about 6-12 months ago. If you look back through this thread it should be there.

Looks like a twin sister of mine before I removed the black sills and big black mirrors, very LJ Torana-ish.

50% appreciation in 12 months, I know 240Z's are popular at the moment but that is one hell of an investment. The car really does look good inside though.

If you are spraying the engine bay why would you not tape the strut thread and nuts?

There has been a few 240z's that I know of which have sold for around 50k in the last twelve months that haven't even hit the market, some have even sold above this figure. To give you an idea one car I sold in the last 18 months with out even advertising it has since sold for double the price I originally sold it for. I think you will find this car will most likely sell for somewhere in the $40k - 50k bracket but presented right (original hubcaps, paint the go fast black stripe gav likes, and take it back to more or less how it rolled of the factory) I wouldn't be surprised if he got around his 50k mark. I believe and coming from a back round in the motor industry good original cars will always be worth good money and recent Auction results are showing this over and over. Unfortunately for us Aussie zeders there is still a strong demand overseas for our right hand drive cars, both a 73 240z and #92 which I might ad after being continually offered 10k for, I sold for full asking to a buyer who specifically wanted a series 1 240z and he is on the look out for another car!

I tend to agree with Curtis, I don't see anything slowing down demand at the moment. Maybe a rise in Interest rates, a pop of the Aussie property bubble or some other global economic melt down. But right now in the short term I don't see anything to 'correct' prices.

Brexit has perhaps put the brakes on purchase from UK buyers since the GBP has taken a beating, but there is parts of Asia where demand for such cars is still strong. It's a global market now, if we like it or not. US market HLS30's are starting to gain traction value wise and that's making the proposition of a North American import less and less viable.

I agree also, i think the original and extremely well restored zeds, will go for the higher end market. However, it's a tad disappointing seeing other cars here bought for a much cheaper price then being flogged off at very high prices within a short period of time.

I'm on the fence with this, as it's good to see these cars holding good value now, but the newer generation of zed enthusiasts don't really have a entry point.

Also, these price hikes have caused parts to be very expensive now. it's not a sustainable investment for the usual grade z vehicles.

It's a hard pickle, keep investing and saving for Z's or go with getting a investment property, but even those are expensive.

What do you guys think would happen if Nissan releases their new Z35 car? Would prices fall or rise depending on the overall design?

Generally speaking a continuation of the model is only a good thing for the classics. Look at the Corvette's and Skyline's as 2 examples.

Yes Andy the plate looks like a UK plate. There are palm trees in the photos. The garage has an Asian feel about it. My bet is it's in Asia possible even southern Japan.

Lots of cars at stupid prices and none of them are selling !

In the end they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them .
