Or is most of the added displacement from the stroke of the crank? There is still enough to give another bore if and when required. Bore has gone from 83mm std to 85.5mm but the stroke has gone from 73.7mm to 89mm. That's the big jump. It sounded good at 7500 rpm. I did see it go to about 7800 as it settled for the 7500 static. Jeff. gav240z 1 Quote

Does LC partly fill the coolant voids in the block? That helps support the bores considerably, as a rule of thumb a one third fill will not cause overheating problems, apparently. I filled my L28 to the bottom of the water pump, it's had no impact on the cooling temps at all. Quote

CBR Jeff Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Nothing more motivating than the events of last Thursday. Quite a few small jobs ticked off this weekend including a watershed moment. I managed to have a big clean up of the shed and can now move the Z around a bit more. Welded in the repair section I made a few weeks ago to replace the rusty gutter and I have finally applied some POR15 to the body. Also, do you intend using it as a base for any other finishes? Thanks John. POR15 is basically the same as KBS. You use it the same way and apply it likewise. This lot was applied by brush. It will have underbody then a top coat of paint applied in the future. Jeff Quote
