I've just ordered a refillable compressor air powered applicator to do my project Z31, the screw on can can be filled with virtually any liquid that you would want to apply and comes with a flexible wand like that shown in the Eastwood video above http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141986879925?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

That looks a very handy device.

Locky at LCR has been working hard. Fuel tank mods are done. I need to clean it up, paint it and it will be honky dory and ready to go. Hopefully I can get down and pick all my junk up in the next few weeks.

Week of chaos. Crazy things going on but just threw a wobbly and headed to the shed this afternoon. Welded in the plates I made last week to repair the section above the radius rod mounts on each side. Sorted out a few other small items, sorted out the mounting of the exhaust pipe, had a chat to Lurch, walked down to the local with the boss and rocky to get take away pizza for dinner and had a glass of red. What a finish........

And people who cant understand wonder why we spend our time on these cars, you just answered it, its because sometimes spending time on them clears the mind and gives us perspective when all else seems chaos.

Very nice exhaust, I would never have thought of doing that on the rotisserie. I guess that SS is heavier than mild?

The 3" more so than the SS adds weight. It's a tight fit and I want it secured well so will put some brackets on the shell while it's upside down and before I finish off and apply underbody coatings. It's also great to have gravity working with you rather than against.

Made it back into the shed today. Lots of things going on at the moment with work, some mountain bike and skiing distractions not helping Z progress either. I managed to finish the set up for the new LCR/Lurch exhaust today as well as finishing off a plethora of othe small jobs. I even wheeled the car outside in the sun for an hour is so. Enjoyable day all round.

Cool enough? It was almost warm this morning. Although the body is a bit confused this week. Went skiing for 3 days last weekend then spent three days this week in Cairns in 28 deg and fairly humid walking around the rain forest at Smithfield. Legs are still tired.

I have started on these three section on the passengers side. Plan is (at this stage) remove the top layers and see what I find then repair as required. The section at the top of the A pillar just needs to be cut out and replaced. I know this as I can see the other side. The rust has been caused by poor prep in the turret to pillar joint before solder joining. Basically the metal has rusted under the relief of the lead.

A new fuel tanku sender arrived this week from the local Nissan dealer. It has caused quite a conversation in the house with the result being most words having a u added at the end!!

The stage of the project on the rotisserie is drawing to an end. I still do have a few big items to tick off, planing to be ready to get the panels the same both sides I had a shopping spree at Hare & Forbes on line on Sunday (leave a father alone on Father's Day and look what happens). The delivery arrived today. Two profile gauges and a body file. I just need more time at home and some time in the shed.

Today was a funny day. It started out full of things to do then turned decidedly nice. I had to get organised for a building energy rating for a building in the CDB then I had a few meetings to attend. When the last two meetings were canceled due to reasons not under my control I decided I should take the opertunity to firstly get a couple of brownie points so I mowed the lawn then got stuck into a job I have honestly been avoiding.

I purchased a rear passengers side cut from dattocam a few months ago to use for donor sections to repair the rear corner of my girl. So today I unstitched and cut the section out of the donor panel that I need to repair my shell. Over the next week I should get it cleaned up and welded in.

Looks like a nice fit. I love it when you finally get onto a bit on the car that you have been avoiding and it actually goes very well and you end up wondering what all the fuss was about.
