  1. Just trying to source a replacement pinion bearing for an R180 'K' type diff. It's the large bearing that sits close to the pinion gear. Does anyone have a model number for these? Are they the same for all R180's?
  2. I thought I could see scratch marks on the end of the spray bar. I'm not sure on a fix for the existing setup, perhaps it can be tig welded with small gussets for strength? Maybe one for the guru's. I could possibly have a spare spray bar or standard internally oiled cam with a full set towers from a complete head if you get really stuck. Let me know and I'll have a look through the pile.
  3. Looks like #6 cam lobe will come very close to hitting the spray bar. Have you turned it over by hand to see if anything hits?
  4. Wouldn't he get $500 for sending it to a scrap yard or pick-a-part? If you guys buy it, and that's a huge IF, I'll make an offer of 5c to buy it from you all!
  5. No worries was worth a try. Sorry the indicator/parkers were thrown out many moons ago.
  6. I have a 77 2+2 parts car, I'd be interested in doing a swap if you can't find a solution with anything else. I just have to find the standard tops.
  7. Yeah, me three Mossy! I think it's just the RB20 & RB20det boxes that have the one large odd ball bolt in the shifter cover.
  8. Wtf $1200? Are people actually buying them at that price or are they continually listed over & over? EDIT* Datsun 510 radios are around $55, are they interchangeable like some of the other parts?
  9. I like the diversity we have too guys and agree, keep it up Stivva! There's a little bit of concourse/OEM coming in of late, some resto mods, race cars and period spec hot rods. I think if you're going flares these works (type B?) are the only ones to go for now. I think they blend with the car better than ZG flares. So many build threads are going strong at the moment, it's great!
  10. Count me in too!
  11. Done. Thanks Jason!
  12. On the new build I want to drill and pin the drive gear on the dizzy to oil pump. Are the steel-steel types all interchangeable from any L6? I have seen the stock steel to steel type and then the brass to steel with different gear profile. Are these the only two differences? Cheers, Gareth.
  13. Excellent, aren't CR boxes great. One of the best mods you can do! Look foward to the vids.
  14. Their stuff is top notch, off road rally and targa proven. Not cheap though, but I guess when you factor in shipping, possible returns or issues the difference wouldn't be that great. Their front diff mount is genius & it's bullet proof!
  15. I guess it can be argued either way, it is a factory built car to the same exacting standards of the day but I wonder what modern advantages have been gained? On that note there's also one of the 'original' older cars that was heavily crashed and rebuilt. You have to ask the question, is it the same car or does it fall into the new recreation category?
  16. Building the unfinished lightweight E-types. Very interesting video with quite a lot of detail and peoples opinions of weather these are eligable for classic racing/events.
  17. Two great looking examples there. The rally livery always looks good, but that green especially with the white side decals is a new favourite of mine.
  18. I'm all for high zed prices, but it's just a little ambitious isn't it?
  19. It does have a certain smell about it, I can't quite put my finger on it. IMO it comes across as a little pretentious, each to their own I guess. To me 'Zenki' is much nicer. On a lighter note, there's plenty of very interesting info here though.
  20. oh yeah! More details please.
  21. I ran R888's on road and track, you won't get much life out of them just like any other semi slick. Brilliant tyre in the wet, by far the best wet tyre I've ever had. Ok in the dry but when pushed not as good as any of the better brands. Also on road they will 'tram track' and 'hum' all the time.
  22. Flying to Japan to get the document checked...... Bahahaha!
  23. I'd average a few visits a day. That can change if I'm working on the car and need some advice. Also dependent on work/boredom levels
