The fat bloke got what he deserved, what an epic face plant. ROFL! If he was injured tuff titties, he shouldn't have been such a tool. Thing is you have to ride at least 1meter from cars because people open their doors without looking. That will put you in the middle of a single lane road. I find it irritating when the cyclist cuts through everyone at the lights and you have to pass them again with lots of traffic around. They should wait in line like everyone else, it's safer for all involved.

I wondered if the needle movement would be the same for metric and imperial? Good points, I'm not sure if they are a direct swap into the wiring loom either or if that's unique too. I'll have a look at pricing from the guys that did the tach for me, it might be cheaper and easier.

Doesn't quite cut it for me, but it's cheap compared to the real thing! If it had smooth leather and lighter brush finish on the aluminium it could go close to looking like a copy of the real deal. EDIT: the diameter looks pretty small too, could make for some hard low speed steering.

Thought I'd try here first just incase. I'm after the JDM style metric water temp, oil pressure gauge. It'll make things less confusing when glancing at the factory gauges and then the Kameari items.

This is another awesome one, the type 'A' & 'B' works kits blend seamlessly with the cars lines I'd love to find more info and pics on the car. I believe Rocky Auto purchased it a while back.

Cheap price! Shipping could be the killer though. Assuming these are plug and play with the standard loom.... It would be cheap to get them calibrated too.

On the first attachment it refers to 'total anti wear' it's a combination of ingredients and not Zinc alone.

Good choice, I think this would be much harder to replace than a 240 or 260. I gather there's bugger all of these here? I bet there's only one with this level of goodies in it too?

What viscosity do you use?

In the case of the Redline oils it's all listed above in the screen shots. For a 5ltr capacity their oil with 473mls of their ZDDP addative comes in at 2200ppm. What are the specific figures on the blend you use Jason, it's certainly been put to the test so that should be a good indicator?

I contacted redline and asked about suitability of their performance engine oil for a Datsun L28. I specifically asked about the 20W-50, their reply... "Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, in your Datsun we would recomme3nd allowing the rings to seat with a petroleum oil before switching over to our product, we do sell the Engine Oil Break In Additive that can be used to fortify and increase the phosporus level for cam protection. Once the rings have seated the 20W50 could be used though likely higher viscsoity than ideal, if internal clearances on rods and mains is reasonable the 10W30 would be recommended" 10W-30 seems pretty thin to me?

Reviving a bit of an old topic here. Does anyone use Redline engine oil in their L-series engines. I've found some specific ZDDP levels when used with the break in addative which can be run all the time. See attached images. The only concern is have is it states a minimum operating temp of 107degrees? I use the gear oils in my diff and RB box and they are fantastic. Yes it is exspensive, but it would appear that it lasts much longer than most oils and provides superior protection. I think the gauge type face is fairly similar to the factory ones so it doesn't look to out of place.
