  1. The SWM front diff mount is the ONLY real solution to the factory mount weakness!
  2. Nice ride! Good job with the coil overs, what spring rates did you go for and how do you find the ride after the upgrade?

Living the dream Pete. How did you manage to keep it to only 57kgs. Lol.
  4. Wow, what a setup. Great work guys! I love the little trailer too ?
  5. How strong are the Subaru R160 LSD's? For a road car it could be ok... On Hybridz there's guys running LS1's with Subi R180's and they break the billet axels not the diff.
  6. I was looking at those axels too, they seem to be well made! Yeah Jason, there's been a few issues with those billet 'wolf creek/beta axels recently on Hybridz. If you can spare the coin, get the gear set isotropic finished. I did mine and it's the most quiet diff I've ever heard.
  7. The bolt/stud pattern is the same also as all strut tops are interchangeable. If you find yourself short just buy a few longer rose joints or bolts for the diagonal bars. Perhaps they can do it a little cheaper if you give feedback and pictures of a 2+2 install. EDIT. Can't they tell you how much more adjustment you'll get height wise when the diagonals are maxed out? That should tell you if it will fit without fiddling around.
  8. This should be awesome Jarrod! Best of luck and please keep us updated with a build thread.
  9. Don't the people with 'real' historic race cars kick up a fuss, Or is this event full of these types of 'historic' race cars? If I had the real deal I wouldn't like racing with imitation cars, I'd be risking a whole lot more if there was any potential incidents. Not to mention the fact the real cars could be viewed by the public as just a replica too.
  10. Wasn't this only posted for sale three days ago? No surprise Shannons advised you to sell it through them, they want their piece of the pie too. Hopefully you get what you want for it, It looks to be in good condition. Your tagline is right on the money.
  11. Isn't it a genuine nostalgic/historic meeting, surely they scrutineer the cars up close and on paper? I would've thought you'd have to tick all boxes in that regard to gain entry and if you didn't there'd be someone in line behind you with the correct car/papers to take your place.
  12. Nismo harmonic balancer http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISMO-Nissan-Race-Harmonic-Balancer-Pulley-Datsun-240Z-/321860216277?hash=item4af05d25d5 Not sure if I'd be keen on using 40yr old bonded rubber...
  13. Some sweet rides here! http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2015/09/11/rolex-monterey-motorsports-reunion-2015/#more-42952 I read somewhere that Hako skyline is running a 3 litre Robello engine... With an L20 surely it would get pumped by anything else on the track?
  14. We saved $100 a quarter by switching from halogen to LED down lights
  15. I've had a radio in my car for a few years now without any speakers, so for me it's pointless. With a fair bit of money invested in the new engine I wanted to add some extra gauges that'll give me more accurate info than the factory. Oil temp will be one of them, with a 9 Ltr sump I want to see if I need an oil cooler or not.
  16. I'd agree with Jason, give SWM a try. They've got heaps of experience and have probably come across this setup before so they will know what's going to work best. I've run one of the SWM heavy duty organic clutches for 4-5yrs now and it's been great. The pedal pressure is quite light too.
  17. I'm down for one of these! Who needs a poxy radio.

Do you expect any issues with cooling when the block is grout filled?
  20. Thanks. Any words of wisdom or special service tools required, besides swear jar? Ha
  21. We all know that feeling George Is that a 3/4 master cylinder unboosted, Do you know where to find rebuild kits for these?
  22. It was the first episode I have seen. Nothing spectacular, but it's a show purely on classic cars which is pretty rare. After watching so much top gear its a little strange to sit through a 'normal' car show that's semi serious.
  23. Looks like a little more action than the 240, nice catch on the exit of the left hand sweeper Do you have shortened steering arms?
  24. 'The classic car show' On now (SBS 7.30pm Friday nights).
