  1. You are missing the plastic guard that goes between the winder and the door panel that stops the circlip catching on the door panel. Part number 37 in this diagram http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunZIndex/Body240Z/DoorLock,WindowRegulatorHandle/tabid/1763/Default.aspx Nissan part number 80763-A0600
  2. Yeah, if I can find the scans of it. Been through a few computers since I scanned it, so might take some detective work to find the hard drive its on.
  3. I have the press kit that Nissan issued to media outlets announcing the 240Z going on sale in the Australian market which included photos of this car.
  4. I don't think it will make it to the production line. I think the IDx and the Freeflow are both boundary pushing concepts designed to get you comfortable with a much tamer/blander/less freaky version which might otherwise have caused the same reaction, but will have you saying, "well at least its not as ugly as that concept they put out last year". Also Nissan is planning to dilute the Nismo brand by slapping Nismo badges on everything they make. Nismo Micra anybody?
  5. Probably a scam.
  6. It was painted 13 years ago. Rust probably hadn't come all the way through when it was painted. They tend to rust from the inside out. What looked like good metal on the outside was probably slowly rusting away on the inside. In the same suburb as me.
  7. Note, edited Outside views: and from the other side of the track dat2kman 280Z in car camera ("effin corvette") And in car footage in order of cars following: White Porsche "Where's the effin yellow flags ya F@#%" (you can tell its a porsche by the expensive GPS lap monitoring in car camera gizmo) : ( not the same race, but he wasn't having a good day: ) Alfa in car camera Another alfa Car #6 Yet Another Alfa in car camera (from even further back)
  8. Wait until December to see what Nissan's answer to the BRZ/86 looks like. Apparent its being revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show.
  9. Don't let bad romance authors write your for sale advert: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/Private/details.aspx?R=sse-ad-2221160&ctocode=32723557-32542&WT.z_csource=Criteo&WT.seg_4=Criteo
  10. There are a couple of members on here that own them
  11. Is the car even in Australia? Photos of it show it in the US of A.
  12. I wouldn't pay more than $3000 for the lot, but thats just me.
  13. It's the liberal application of bondo on the rear quarter panels that make it look weird.
  14. Here's one from 2007 (nicked it from classiczcars)
  15. Watched it today. Reminded me of the movie: Moon (2009)
  16. I concur. not the same car, the gaffa tape wonder above has a chopped roof. The GT240 one is this car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2978513/1971-datsun-240z/
  17. I have the same one, found it in K-mart i believe. It's based off this car HLS30- 00008: http://zhome.com/History/Bork.htm
  18. Not exactly the same though. the ones you linked are better looking. Dont know where you'd find them though.
  19. US$20 from MSA +postage http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/MA18/50-1801
  20. I believe the 10,000 rpm tacho was from (or an option on) the Z432 R.
  21. And now for something completely different.
  22. Thats currently on ebay. I hear its full of bog and rust.
  23. Just found these pics from 2005. Wonder if it ever got much past this, the thread just died after 2 pages.
  24. Randomly stumbled upon this video and was surprised to see a 240Z featured in it. Warning: Contains illegal street racing. skip to 4:00 to see the Datsun content (National Geographic 40 minute doco). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jky79YsH0mY
