  1. You might want to take the oil cap off and stick a sock in there: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=311931 And while your at it convert the engine to Direct Exhaust Injection: http://forums.finalgear.com/general-automotive/id-like-to-introduce-you-to-dei-direct-exhaust-injection-22931/
  2. S130 was also called 280Z in Japan, maybe he has a grey import?
  3. Or this: http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=11451
  4. If selling a registered car in WA both seller and buyer have 2 halves of the paperwork, and both are required to send them in. Now the car is out of rego, he's got an unregisterd car and you've been fined $100. Just chalk it up to experiace and not make the same mistake next time. Nothing else can be done. I got fined for not returning plates once. Still have them. I figure I've paid $100 bucks for them so i'm keeping them.
  5. It's not really karma - your old lady was sending you a message. She doesn't want to share her garage with a curvy young cobra.
  6. How long has it been out of rego? In WA you have up to 3 months to pay after its expired, before you need to get it over the pits again. Just pay up the rego and you can drive it again...but you would need the rego papers. So if you are still within 3 months, keep hassling the guy if you have contact details. Maybe you could get him to call the rego dept and have them send you a copy of the current/expired licence papers so you can complete the transfer. Or maybe just call up the Licensing dept yourself and see what can be done if you havent already
  7. Probably a few rusty 260Z 2+2 manuals you can grab a pedal box from if you keep an eye out.
  8. I've had nostalgic trio hosted on a free hosting plan for the last 3 or so years with no issues. It's at byethost.com on a free plan. Doesn't get much cheaper than free
  9. Got a junker in my garage that looks just like that. Dream car?, apart from the ones I already own, R35 GTR
  10. Oh no, it was real, but apparently regular V8 powered mustangs were used for the drifting scenes, if you can believe wikipedia. They should be more angry that they destroyed 5 mustangs in making the movie. I think the RB powered one was the only one that didn't get destroyed. Although I can understand the skepticism, check out this Movie "R34 GTR"
  11. Find the person that bought it and see if they want to sell it back. Their misses probably isn't too thrilled about them buying it and has been nagging them to get rid of it. You'd be doing them a favour, for a suitable discount off what he paid for it of course.
  12. I imagine you would have problems trying to get it relicenced with that sort of dodgey "repair".
  13. GT tail lights. http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f97241380
  14. The 5 piece is a copy of the original Nissan item, and being 5 separate pieces it has some adjustment to fit better (especially if your cars had the odd bingle). Nissan never made a 3 piece (as far as I know). If your after originality, the 5 piece copy is the one to go for. The cheaper G noses skimp on the aerodynamics in the front "mouth" area of the car. And by skimp, I mean its usually not there at all. There's a guy in Japan that makes the best (most original) copy, but its expensive at around $1400 for the very basic version without hinges, plus shipping to Australia. http://home.att.ne.jp/sky/FairladyZ/ZG/Nosemain_new.htm
  15. Depends where you're looking. There's one for $3500 for sale at the moment in the forums (LHD one), and another that sold for $2500 a coupe of weeks ago, and a few more on ebay. Sure they needed work, but if you cant afford $10,000+ for a (semi) decent one, Maybe consider getting a fixer-upper and a cheap daily econobox to get around in until the Z is ready.
  16. Ah, I get what your saying, but thats not the skyline badge I thought it was. There is another (like the GT-R had) that is the same as the Datsun type badge that fits in the indent. Like so: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4674597565_1c22ee0ff6.jpg Are you going to put a set of GT tail lights on it?
  17. Hi Kent Price also depends on whether its a 5 piece (more expensive) or 1 piece (cheaper) zg nose. Flares are usually around $200 to $300 bobtail about $150?
  18. There's a kit for that based on the S130.
  19. My Advice, get it running/rego'd, sort out any immediate rust problems to prevent them from getting worse, then just drive the thing for a couple of years. Save the resto for later, when you can afford to take it off the road for 6 months to ?? years. I got my first 240Z when I was 17 and stripped and restored it, took a couple of years, and I had to buy another car (RA28 "Mustang" Celica) in the mean time to get around in.
  20. This tidy 260Z 2 seater just listed in WA http://wazregister.com/zindex.php?action=classifieds&id=14
  21. Really? I though the panel was the same and AU cars got a Datsun badge, and JDM cars got a Skyline badge.
  22. He means ones like these.
  23. 260Z rad's will fit, but they are a bit taller, so the bottom sticks out past the lower front chassis cross member. This is why the 260Z front cross member is deeper, to protect the bottom of the radiator. If you have a front spoiler its not much of an issue, as it covers it.
  24. Could I persuade you to remove the skyline badge and sell it to me
