  1. Hey Ricky You need to change the crown wheel (The big gear that bolts to the LSD center) and the pinion (the input gear at the front of the diff that drives the crown wheel). They come in matched pairs from what I understand. You would need to take it to a transmission place and have them set up the preload and/or backlash, or whatever its called.
  2. LOL. Yes 2+2's also had hatch emblems.
  3. My fuel tank is in the middle at the back of the car The fuel filler on the other hand is on the drivers side. Where does the handle face if your fuel filler is behind your number plate
  4. Yep I think they are.
  5. There was an after market T top kit for the S30 in the USA. http://zhome.com/History/240Accessory.htm
  6. Some photos are on the aus300zx.com site and auZ31club.com http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=302570 http://www.auz31club.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=404&start=20
  7. I thought they were internally regulated at the alternator.
  8. Yeah but its a website, not a "real" car club.
  9. A couple of pics of this car from when it was still in WA : http://wazregister.com/gallery/2003%20Z%20Day/ http://wazregister.com/gallery/2005%20Z%20Day/
  10. The front end of that car looks pretty banged up. Relisted for $4000 or make an offer http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320561487474
  11. Actually its an L20A. The L20 was the mid/late 60's version that first appeared in the Cedric. (Also there's the L20B, but that's missing a couple of cylinders )
  12. "Up for sale is probably the only Datsun KPB 210 in Australia", no, there is another. A guy in Wanneroo has one rusting away in his back yard. For $7500, your probably bettor off finding a 120Y and doing the engine swap yourself, and save yourself a wad of cash in the process.
  13. There's an internet forums etiquette that you may not be aware of Salty. Basically if a thread is really old, don't reply, unless its absolutely something that's going to make a difference to the thread. Dumping on people that revive old threads is par for the course on most forums. Old threads are there for reference value (Some better value and some worthless), but deleting them is not really the done thing.
  14. Its not a modified S30 gnose, it's an S130 "gnose". It's an after market nose made for the S130 by a company in Europe (UK I think). Here's a better pic http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19730&d=1190133622 And thread http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21418
  15. So thats Wonder Womans new car.
  16. Apparently parts like wheels need to be fitted as standard equipment, not optional.
  17. Yeah those ones go for alot on ebay USA. You seen them on craigslist occasionally for over $1000. Doesn't mean they actually get that much for them though. Around $500 seems to be a more reasonable price. One thing to watch out for (if you're buying a set) is that they are all the same type D hubcap. There were 2 different D hubcaps (early and later style). You can tell them apart because of the location of the valve hole. Earlier ones had the valve hole below the D in line with a spoke. Later ones had the hole above the D inline with the opening between the spokes
  18. I voted for badges on the assumption that you'd use new ones. But its your car, so its up to you. One advantage to not re-fitting the badges is its something less a******s to steal off your car.
  19. Leave them off, unless your badges are in excellent condition. Sad old badges on an brand new paint job will always let it down. Brand new badges are available. I bought a set for mine for if I ever get around to finishing it. I got them from here http://www.datsunrestore.com/photo3.html
  20. Thats his facebook picture.
  21. Maybe this is a clue??
  22. Yes it is. Known as the 200SX in the USA.
  23. Not true. Just buy your parts from the USA. Even with shipping they are still at least 50% cheaper than you local Nissan dealer. eg: valve lifters AU$89 each from Nissan Aus. US$12 each from Courtesy Nissan. I must have bought about the equivalent of AU$4000 worth of parts for AU$1200 by getting them from the states. Also just another shameless plug for www.auZ31club.net
  24. Yes, well you don't try this at home. Take them to a diff place and let them sort it out.
  25. Pic 1 is a JDM 610 bluebird (180B for us Aussies).
