  1. Hello, Where you at with the rear brakes? Pm sent last week?
  2. Hey buddy, Is it series 1 or 2 and do you still have the rear calipers and discs? If so how much?
  3. In the process of making changes so we can club reg the car. Rear 280zx brake conversion for a mechanical handbrake and some other minor items left to do.
  4. Thank you, but as my first post writes. The car belongs to my mate Greg, I store and look after it for him. Yes we left just before the rain, we were happy with the 2 days and thought best not too push as it's usually then when something goes wrong. Lurch mentioned there was another, I'd love to catch up with both cars and exchange mods/ideas one day soon?
  5. In that case a 2 + 2 without backseats like burple and plenty of room to move would be called a B___ Bus?
  6. I'd like to attend, pm sent to lurch with contact number and address.
  7. Yassou to all and thank you for your warm welcomes. Yes I noticed the turbo cut out and no it's a monster as it is, boost would only gives us headaches, chew up more money and decerease the reliability in my opinion. I'll get some more pics up soon of burple and also my 1600. Thanks for the pic, car still looks like it did in 2008, no cosmetic changes made now and none intended. Our main plan for now is to sort some problems out and keep the car as reliable as possible, Whilst completing as many sandown sprints as possible due to it's close location. Yassou boys, Yianni.
  8. Hello to all, great website and keep up the good work. Met lurch who approached me at the John Mott this year, who loaded the website on my phone, thanks Lurch. My name is Yianni, Greek 4 John for those of you who don't know. I own a 70 datsun 1600 running a z20t 5spd, club car which is still waiting for an engine rebuild from the John Mott sprint a few years ago. Now more on the z story and why ive joined the site. A friend of mine Greg wanted to get back into the hobby of cars and gave me the job to source something that he/we can work on and enjoy sprint/club level racing together with the outlook of doing targa tasie in 2012. We looked at many starting from an escort through to a datsun 1600 until we found and purchased a 'burple' 260z 2+2, 6spd 383 Chevrolet from my105 some months ago which came from western Australia. Most of you may know the car. Since purchasing the car we have had Fabraications install a 6 point cage, 2 race seats and we also replaced front wheel bearings, discs and pads along with new konis and front coil over springs. The car still needs some sorting and mods along the way as all track cars do, but Im happy to say that Greg and the car completed the 2 day John Mott sprint with no problems or hiccups. It was Gregs first time sprint event and also the first time for burple at sandown. Ended up with a 1.29?? With lots more in it. I've recently started a new business called Melbourne car storage in mordialloc, it's a unique business catering for car and other storage but a little different to most storage businesses. More on that once I speak with lurch on advertising on the site. Cheers Yianni.
