  1. I like the Sam Freeman designed rear. I like how the front guard/bonnet seam is present in the rear of the car. Looks like it was meant to be that way from the factory. I'd probably like it more if the bonnet bulge continued in the boot cap too. Only problem is that the boot doesn't open, which is pretty much a deal breaker, if I were building a Z-vert.
  2. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1676 Pics of Pink Z or it didn't happen.
  3. No Idea, but I guess its the new Pulsar/Tiida
  4. Buy a R200 LSD in any ratio (eg 4.36), and an open r200 in the ratio you want. Swap the crown wheel and pinion from the open diff onto the LSD center, set the backlash, and Bobs your aunty, you have an LSD R200 in the ratio you want..
  5. Tama E4S-47-1 electric car from 1947
  6. Thats the sporty X1R model.
  7. There's pretty much a rust patch panel for any of the common trouble spots, thanks to the amount of cars sold in the USA. I expect the hardest part to fix is the under battery area, since there's not a repair patch for that area. Other places (floors, rails, sills) are tricky to fix, but at least there are replacement panels available.
  8. Keen eye there Zedman. Its a prince prototype/concept from 1963. Known as the 'Prince 1900 Sprint' or 'Prince Skyline Sprint'. Italian design. Never made it into production.
  9. Yep that was an early 210/211 series roadster. Here's another one:
  10. Try www.ozdat.com/forum also
  11. Was reading something about steering joints just the other day on czc. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25012
  12. I wonder if he's gotten around to painting it yet?
  13. LOL. No I mean, at least is wasn't a 2 seater they mutilated. And now for something completely different, another dreamer, good for a laugh: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330423213156
  14. This was listed as a 240C GL, and the description said it was a Datsun 2402. They seem to have corrected their errors. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120559887129 Arrrrgggg, sunroof. $25,000 (why it there no ROFL emoticon)
  15. Take some consolation in the fact it was a 2+2 before they hacked the roof off.
  16. Why you little... *chokes lurch*
  17. Rusty ones are 240Z A arms. Silver ones are 260Z A arms. Just another change in the evolution of the S30. They are not a dodgy repair. That's how they were made at the factory. Another change most people wouldn't know about: 260Z front cross member has more reinforcement around the mounting hole area where it bolts to the chassis.
  18. I have one from a 2+2, but I think they are different.
  19. Yeah I like the old 70's colours you don't see so often on cars these days (though it seems every performance Ford or Holden is available in similar to the old 70's colours lately). Though I think the post editing might have something to do with how that colour looks in those photos. Looks paler on photos on the tomitaku website. Check out the link for more photos of the build. http://www.tomitaku.com/works/tc24/index.html
  20. Yep the stroker is the least bang per buck, ie the most expensive option for hp that could be achieved more cheaply with a different motor, or a turbo L series. But it does have the coolness factor of still being an L series under the bonnet. If your on a tight budget, then spend the $5000 on another motor.
  21. 240Z and 260Z mirrors are the same.
  22. +1 A panel beater over here made a jig and made new door skins out of flat sheet metal for one of the guys over here. 240Z doors don't have side impact bars.
  23. It seems that all really early Z's came form Japan with fender mirrors, or at least holes for them. Dealers handled this in various ways, some were left with fender mirrors (eg #00004), some got plugs, as shown in this thread, and some were send off to the panel shop, had a bit of metal welded underneath, filled and repainted.
