Because you'd need a left handed screw driver to remove them.
  2. Just to clarify: XY GT mirrors: XA Gt mirrors:
  3. Nope. That's an XA onwards mirror. Also used on old Ford escorts I believe. (Ford Aus probably raided the parts bin and said, yep they'll do. )
  4. I've seen a few Z's with XY GT mirrors too.
  5. Yep, it's already happened by the episode with the Z. Never noticed the thing with the hand.
  6. Ah, so the Nissan G nose parts look more like molded plastic, than fibreglass. Mine's a 5 piece copy then.
  7. So Gav, How do you tell apart a Nissan Fiberglass G nose from a reproduction Fiberglass G nose?
  8. It's like tweaking a Commodore Vic 20. Lets face it, its late 1970's tech, and not designed to be modified. Any mods will have little effect unless combined with engine mods anyway. 90's ecus (Z32, R32 and later) can be modified with the nistune board to make them programmable. http://nistune.com/
  9. Yes it is, if they are both R200's
  10. It doesn't look too bad. I've definitely seen worse. Would need a large investment to get it back to good condition though, unless you can do all the body work yourself.
  11. He means the rubber strips. Bumper over-riders are the little vertical pieces the bolt onto the bumper though.
  12. Hey, you get to hoon for free in the car park, just as long as you aren't drinking.
  13. What Channel 7 showing repeats?
  14. Not alot of difference between a 240Z cam and a 280ZX cam. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/cam/index.htm
  15. I'm a Web Developer/Programmer. PHP and Database stuff mostly. Not really helpful in the automotive field.
  16. Reading too much Wangan Midnight back in the day, eh Ben?
  17. Yep, maybe make it not as wide with no holes, if that's stronger. Not sure about how much load the front diff mount takes. I do know if the mount is worn out the diff wants to tilt up into the underside of the car, which is why there's an strap over the top of it. I'm no engineer but, I'd think most of the loads are on the mustache bar. I think the front mount is just there to stop the upwards motion. Stevo: Some torque figures I found on Hybrid Z Modified L24: 231.5 HP at the wheels 195.9 lbft torque Turbo L28: 341.44whp 390.31 lbft torque at 23.7lbs max boost Another turbo L28: 403.16 whp 365.92 lbft torque at 17lbs max boost Not sure where that torque is though.. engine, or wheels?
  18. Maybe try a rotational force to the center bolt holes that hold the diff to simulate the torque of the engine. Maybe one force up and the other force down. Not sure what other forces would be involved.
  19. I just noticed that the AZ bar doesn't have holes in it. The holes are just milled recesses. Here's a better picture. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5966&d=1096246919 Would be interesting to see the stress results Stevo will be doing with a bar with holes compared to one without.
  20. Looks a bit like the Arizona Z car mustache bar http://www.arizonazcar.com/azcM2487.JPG
  21. I've heard 120Y door handles also fit. Also handles are interchangeable from drivers side to passengers side, since they have the lever thingo the rod pops into on both ends. So it should be possible to swap your drivers handle with the passengers handle and have 2 working doors again.
  22. Whats wrong with your current started motor? Maybe you need a new battery?
  23. As I said, not all Scarabs had the body kit. Just scarab badges, a louvered bonnet and a chev V8.
  24. Yeah its a rebello engine with twin SU carbies. (unless he upgraded to triples by now?). Paint is lamborghini paint Blu Nova 2CT(Murcielago Ocean Blue). Body kit is available from MSA.
