  1. Not a Z video, but worth a watch. I can only describe it as haunting. more info on this here: http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2014/classic-and-rare/french-auction-house-unearths-rare-auto-treasures-48093?intref=sr-ed-news
  2. If you are careful when removing them as to not pull any paint off then the silicon will clean off with mineral turps and leave the paint intact, but needing some polish before you silicon them back on again.
  3. Blobs of silicon? Rare earth magnets?
  4. see images: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img542/4506/20130519121303.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img833/2122/20130519121258.jpg http://s30zproject.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/med_z_images_088.jpg Aparenlty the clips just pop off the welded tabs according to this: http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/39081-lower-clips-on-rear-taillight-panels/
  5. I met Graham last week. Nice bloke. He said he only had 20 zeds at the time. Though he just drove off with mine, so I guess 21 zeds is right as of today.
  6. Win Percy owns a Samuri Z. Has been modified with hand controls after an operation left him paralysed from the waist down. http://www.samuri.eu/index_files/SamuriProjects.htm
  7. Just needs a few christmas lights.
  8. Ah it has triples now, never mind then.
  9. OK call me obsessive-compulsive, but the fact that your SU "bottles" are "clocked" differently really bugs me The rear one needs to be rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise
  10. Actually they are the Customs departments comments: http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4371.asp#whatToDo
  11. Really? - freight and insurance (for the transport of the goods to Australia); - customs duties, GST and LCT, if applicable; - storage and delivery charges; - logistic services providers' charges; - customs brokers' charges; - entry processing charges; - steam cleaning for quarantine purposes; - other wharf and transport charges; Would have thought all that would add up to a bit more than $1500?
  12. Yeah, looks like and Aus car. #308 would put it with the rest of the early 240Z's that came to Australia, (We would call it a series 1, but in the USA they would call it something else). Anything below #501 is a 1970, since #501 was the first HS30 off the production line in 1971.
  13. It's not a door mirror you cheeky monkey.
  14. I remember seeing pics of it done, can't remember where. There was a post on classiczcars of someone that did it, but they never posted pictures of the finished modified hinges. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/28116-zg-nose-bonnet-hingeneed-help-thanks/?p=247468 Actually it was Nissanman (AKA Graeme), who's quite active on ozdat.com (and possibly on here under a different pseudonym?) Maybe you could ask there if he ever did fit them to a car or has photos of the mods he did. http://ozdat.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=61

    WTB 240z

Like Gav says, if you buy a $5000 rust bucket, at least you know what you are getting and can make sure that its restored right. If you buy a shiny freshly painted car, unless there is photos of the work done, then you can't be sure what you are getting. Could be a bog job. Anyway the wangan midnight blue devil z junkyard replica is still for sale. Think it would have been an easier sell if the rust was still hidden under all the bog like it was when I bought it, rather than it being out on display so you know exactly what condition it is in. Ignorance is bliss, so they say.
  16. Sold
  17. Still for sale. Apparently everyone thinks it's still 1988 in WA and want to pay appropriate prices. The last guy that looked at it today can get an American 240z bought and shipped to Australia for $1500 landed. I should have asked him for his shipping agent's name.
  18. 84-89 Nissan Z31 300ZX T-Top Bags Tan colour. From a 2+2. I don't have one anymore. $75 posted anywhere in Australia. They look like these , except the storage instruction stickers are long gone. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/84-89-Nissan-Z31-300ZX-Two-Tan-T-Top-Covers-Bags-Bag-2-Seater-Bag-Cover-Ttop-OEM-/181568834749?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a46588cbd
  19. #342 is already for sale on a facebook page for CSP311's Hoping to keep #340 at this stage.
  20. Part of the episode is here:
  21. Minus the $253.50 in fees they will be charged because they listed it under the wrong category (Die cast toys), instead of the $68 fee they would have been charged if listed under ebay motors section.
