  1. FYI thats the How to modify your Nissan OHC engine, not the Rebuild book.
  2. I stopped reading when I got to this part:
  3. Looks like a Mazda mirror. Maybe from an Rx 3 / 808 See pics: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/0927_Mazda-RX3-Savanna.jpg http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=krtrk&s=6
  4. I think the price needs to come down a bit more before that sells. Theres a nice looking 260Z for $10,000. If I had the money I'd be after that. It's an auto, but thats easily remedied. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/croydon/cars-vans-utes/1976-datsun-260z-coupe-2-seater/1091185950
  5. Definitely had a major front end replacement on that green 240Z. It has a 260Z front end. That bracket is for mounting the charcoal canister for the 260Z emissions systems.
  6. Extremely rare chrome Z metal hatch badge. Before they changed the Z to chrome outline/white centre.
  7. Nope. Some owners paint yellow paint around the chassis number in Japan. Why? It's JDM yo! Not sure why the do it. Alan or Katz explained it once on CZC, but I forget the reason.
  8. That's what I'd like to know.
  9. Wait, he paid AU$4350 for that?
  10. Even lowered it still looks like an SUV.
  11. Just a reminder for WA Z Register members. If you are going to be attending the 2015 Spring Lunch this Sunday, please make sure you have let Peter Hall or Ken Hayden know for booking purposes. http://www.wazregister.com/?postid=160
  12. Steve. Every one knows Steve. Strange guy that likes the 280ZX. Had a bunch of them. He was first registered on here in 2005.
  13. This would have 240Z style door latches, correct?. Try readjusting the striker positioning. If that doesn't work, or the striker looks worn down, then this is how I fixed mine in the late 1980s http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/36105-fixed-the-door-slaming-issue/
  14. Owner history that worked like this http://www.wazregister.com/index.php?title=viewcar&car=HS30-149 and this http://www.wazregister.com/index.php?title=viewcar&car=HS30-803 would be good
  15. Here's another one for you Gav This is HS30-00501 (as mentioned above in the Service Manual as Jan 1971). Undergoing restoration, nearing completion.
  16. Looks like someone lost their home made "slim jim" while trying to steal your car.
  17. RS30-000037 is in NZ.
  18. They're not. Same part for both RHD and LHD. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08e01e/40-2521
  19. BenZed from a few years ago is still BenZed
  20. 05L (zero five L ) Commonly found on L20ET R30 2 litre skylines.
  21. 2 for 1, nah, I don't think so. I should just get on with fixing mine. Think I need a ute with a towbar, and a job. I hear Silvias are fetching 50 to 70 grand US these days in Japan. Hows the yellow Z going by the way? Still have it?
  22. She said she was going to sell it, but never bothered advertising it anywhere. Then went on holidays. When she got back, she still didn't bother advertising it. When I finally was in a position to go look at it, you beat me to it by a couple of hours. All the people in the other thread bashing wanted ads on gumtree take note. Cuong got this car because of a wanted advert.
  23. Haynes Z31 300Zx 1984 - 1989 Repair Manual $50 posted Nissan Z31 Service Manual Supplement II (1987 - 1989 facelift model) $60 posted. Both used. some greasy marks. or both for $100 posted.
  24. Z31 300ZX targa top bags. In good condition. Tan in colour from a beige interior car. $80 posted anywhere in Australia.
  25. Shed find (we really don't have barns here in Aus. Even if its on a farm we still call it a shed). CSP311 Silvia. Apparently after 20 years the owner finally agreed to sell it.
