But just no. It just doesn't sound right. Sorry gav. ????

No need to be sorry, as much as I like the idea I just couldn't do it to my own S30s as I prefer the period correct feel myself.

If I was going to do a 20b or 4 Rotor swap I'd put it in my FD rx7.

I think a 4 Rotor is overkill anyway, 20b is plenty for a street driven car. 4 Rotor does sound glorious though.

Good pick up. It was more than likely an RS30 chassis code car. Meaning an AU spec 260z back dated to look like a 240z instead with rear light assembly and earlier spec badges.

The indicators in the fenders at the front are also 260z introduced items.

But don't expect Speedhunters to get those details right. They are better than most but still quite a few inaccuracies creep in from time to time.

It's a great car alright, I would have preferred it in a period correct 240z colour but to each their own. I do prefer the look of the Office Tomitaku S30z.

A cross flow head looks at home in an S30z, it's a shame the LY cylinder heads are not more readily available. The O.S Giken head is great but really only useful on a street car. Still I wouldn't say no to an O.S Giken build myself ;).

I would have preferred the Silver 260z to have the VQ and the red 240z with Watanabe's to have the L-GATA in it. Looks like the 71 240z would be a good car to include in the early girl bingo thread.

That Red 240z in my opinion is perfectly on point. If I had a second Z it would be done in the same fashion. Not for the purists but what an engine/box combo and the styling just nails it

Is there any way with this engine/fuel combo for this power output to be possible?

No.

Max HP with 44PHH's if you theoretically machine the chokes down to a thin sleeve is barely 300hp.

They just can't through enough air.

I can almost guarantee that engine has never seen a dyno.

M3 engine uses 52mm throttle bodies to make 321 HP....just sayin
