...and I still don't understanding reasoning for it. Sure the engine needs to go back but sump issues aside the cross-member and wheels can stay where they are???

I'm glad you said that. I was thinking the same thing, but worrying that I had overlooked something obvious.

They're going to all the effort of doing the transplant, but don't want to have to reposition the engine mounts?. Am I missing something?.

I'm interested, is there something going on in the forward 5 inches of the engine, that means it can't be shifted back relative to the cross member?

Always had a fascination with the Corvair, kind of like Tucker motors with their air cooled rear mounted engines. Very cool stuff.

He’s building a tube chassis’d 240z with m5 running gear but they didn’t send him any instructions.

Weird huh!!

Ive got no idea of his history but I can’t see this project making it to completion from what I’ve seen so far.

And after totally destroying the car he tells us he didn't damage the back of the car lifting it off the rear susp so us guys wouldn't be freaking out about a possible dent in the back panel. ??? ???

Couple of laps from both the long and very long tracks at the new Tailem Bend Motorsport Park in SA.

Wow, wide open, love it compared with the oversize go kart tracks that are around. The name The Bend sounds a bit local though, nothing wrong with Tailem for a race track, I can't pass em so I'll tailem.

Nein Nein Nein!

It's available on MT on demand: https://www.motortrendondemand.com/show/jdm-legends/89949002/

I have MT on demand, but I think they just link to Velocity as we still can't watch it here. I am quite annoyed actually, as most of the stuff on MT we can't watch here like Fast N Loud, Street Outlaws, etc, etc. The only things that we can actually watch on there is their own stuff like Roadkill, Head to Head, etc.
