Let me also say, that is chocolate sauce.

If you look real close. There is a strawberry in my belly button.

And anyway. Isn't the idea oc this, so Lurch doesn't lock out and delete threads?

Now he's not a moderator. This is happening? Surely for everyone's safety. Reinstate!

Nothing car related but one thing I know for sure a lot of members here have dealt with questionable "dealers" on eBay. Just asking everyone for an opinion here....who's right or wrong.

Scenario is, bought a emergency battery backed up LED light from the seller.

Seller failed to disclose that the light was missing battery and LED driver (small detail) but it wasn't shown in the pictures but wasn't stated in the ad. Found out after I received it.

Bought light, paid for postage and the light was posted to me. Found out it was missing parts, and advised seller and he agreed to a refund after I sent the light back.

Sent back the light at my cost, seller now has light back again, then I discover he only gave a refund for the light itself MINUS the original $13.40 I paid for postage.

One phone call later, his argument is Aust post don't do it for free and my argument was I know, I paid for it and now you have the light back again, which I paid for postage twice so now its like I didn't buy it originally.

So seller has LED light, not out any cash but I am minus $26.80, half of which I accept for sending the light back and not asking the whole amount...

If it was possible to reach through the phone and slap some sense into him, I would've but I would like to know what you guys think.

A fair person would refund the freight as well and write it off as part of doing business. That's what we do at my work.

Chalk it down to a lesson learned I suppose. Arguing over a few dollars isn't worth the stress unless you want to pursue it on principle which I totally understand if you did.

I guess I understand both sides here. He should fix his description I always try and explain the items I sell so that the buyer doesn't get any surprises.

Did you leave feedback yet? I always wait till I receive an item. Leaving negative or neutral feedback is a good motivator to do the right thing. But only if you threaten to do it as once done it can't be undone.

I agree with George though sometimes just gotta accept the loss for your mental health reasons.

I was livid over a $100 parking fine after I left a GoGet share car in a spot and nobody used it for 3 days so it received a parking ticket. GoGet were nice enough to add a $25 admin fee. I couldn't park in reserved spot at the time because some bell end had taken the designated GoGet spot.

I was going to call up and cancel GoGet because their policy is last person to park car pays a fine regardless of how long it sits there. I didn't even bother appealing decision with council because I knew it would just stress me further and get me nowhere. So much for sticking it to the man I spose.

Not sure if it makes your 25 odd dollar loss any better? But I feel a bit better lol.. I guess the moral of the story is when a seller behaves this way it limits future commerce between you and them. Once bitten twice shy.

Hi Dimitri.

Been through similar myself, I just decided "price of education" and left negative feedback then moved on. I didn't need the extra stress and grief, but it was only $30 or so.

But if you contact the seller, and they offer refund, it should be ALL your costs.

I look at it this way, I have done plenty of business on ebay over the years with only one or two drama's and in my book that is a pretty good hit rate ????

I know the amount I'm complaining about is small, but what gets me so pi$$ed off was the guys reasoning when I spoke to him on the phone. He believes he has out of pocket expenses out of this deal where in fact he doesn't. I paid for the freight for it to be delivered to me and then to send it back. The only expenses was his time to take it to the post office. He thinks he paid for the freight? Its just on principle.... when you offer a refund, I expect a full refund. Fair enough if the postage was free, and in fact he payed then I wouldn't be asking for that back as I sent it back so we are even.

Just gets me fired up when you argue with a moron who just doesn't understand.

Bruce, next time anything lighting related, I'll give you a bell...do you have the Clevertronics Lifelite stuff?

An old saying comes to mind.

Never argue with an idiot - they will just drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

That saying along with this 1 are my favorites:

"If you think hiring a professional is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur".

On another topic, I just can't understand why the kids do this to their cars.

The interior reminds me of those plush toilet carpets like this:

I think if I saw this car driving around Sydney and I pulled up at the lights in my RX-7 I'd have to look over and laugh at the poor soul.
