Rev's Zed Vandalised!

Well you wouldn't b......y believe it..but someone found some great joy on Sunday night by putting dents over almost the entire drivers side and some of the passengers side of my Zed!  I didn't notice it as I drove home in the dark Sunday night and only realised the damage today.  It looks like they have smacked their fist or knee into it in probably 15 places. I guess I just needed to vent as I am really disappointed, a lot of hours have gone into getting the Zed about 98% finished.  I might just park it for awhile and think about what to do next!

Bastrads.................I had a group of 4 BMX riders using my bonnet as a ramp 2 saturday's ago at 3am in the morning, I got up at 4am to go to work, Lucky cause I'd be in the Big House today if I caught them................

 

So I know how you feel Rev "very low"

you would hope they did. At least then you get a choice of repairer etc, I cant stand looking at any of my cars when they have a dent in them. Nothing seems right til its fixed. fingers crossed for you.

how about, how could thy do this to a thing of such beauty, that is being kept and maintained (at the owners expense) for posterity and the good of the classic car community.

 

however much i fail to understand vandalism of any description, i just cannot bring myself to see what could be gained in attacking a majestic lady like a zed?

Perhaps these people are the kind of people that are alive simply because it is illegal to kill them?

 

Anywho, it's not a good thing to happen and I'm sure karma will sort them out eventually.

 

If it were me, I'd use it as an excuse for an engine conversion or something distantly related to bodywork....

What a shame, I think its worse when you built the car yourself rather than bought it if you know what I mean. All that time effort and pride and some looser comes along and thinks he'll do something constructive.

 

When that happens I just wish I could catch them in the act. I have had my 240z reversed into twice and damaged the front end, no note just drove off. Then my step father didn't install garage lights properly and one fell on my Z causing a huge dent down the front left fender.

 

I almost exploded with anger, but try and look on the bright side at least it is repairable (hopefully not from your pocket) and it wasn't a write off or anything like that.

 

If insurance won't cover it let us know what the damage is (value wise), maybe we can start a donation to Rev pool to help you out with the cost. I'd be willing to send you $10 or something to help out.

It is crap that people feel the right to destroy other peoples property. I walk past peoples houses in Canberra and know they just rendered the bring walls a few weeks ago. One there was still rendering stuff around the house and someone had sprayed their marks on the wall. Broken down cars one day the next trashed wrecks. And if you try to stop it eather you pay with your life or you get sent to prison.

My dad has a s2000. Doesn't look like anything special from the out side but its got some things hiding. about 4 months ago. some tyred to take the badges off. 3 months ago they slashed the roof and the leather seats. about a month ago they tyred to badge it again but the badges broke and so they scratched up the car. then on the weekend they slashed it again. Every time in public car parks. every time no only his car done.

I am 25. 7 years ago i was a wild boy. I lived on the streets and was involved with a lot of other people like i was. Our past time was Luge, bike riding mountains, parties and hanging out at the youth drop in centre. cool during the day but at night there wasn't much to do. So we did some vandalism. Things that back then was like wow. Stuff like someone has rocks on there front lawn to prevent people form parking there. so we would move them to their next door neighbors lawn or on the house across the streets. or lift a car up and turn it around or move it it twenty meters down the street.

We did things that we thought were funny. things thats didn't really effect other people except for maybe moving the rocks back. Or wondering why they parked the car 20m up the street. I was homeless. Yet I had respect for other peoples property enough not to damage it. We got warnings from the cops but I'm sure they thought it was funny too. But kids these days dint have boundaries. They do what they want when they want because they know they cant get introuble anymore.

I use to get the cain at school. And i use to fear it. I am sick of those who are meant to protect us not having any rights anymore. I am almost ready to start taking action into my own hands. because these kids dont mean well. and they dont have respect or regret.

Belated. but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap Rev. That is real bad news. You were so proud of the great work on your car. It looked great and I am sure you will get it back there again. Like Lurch says the Dent doctor might get most of them out. I used them to pull a dent out of my Territory after a motor bike bloke lent his elbow on the rear quarter. I wouldn't have beleived it if I didn't see the result myself. After an hour of tweaking you would know it was there. They do good work. Try not to park it for too long.
