"A great example of this 34 yo 260Z , Model S30 series, twin carburettor, auto coupe. This is a well maintained vehicle with good tyres, the engine delivers smooth performance, the paintwork and interior are in very good condition and anyone seeking this marque should consider an inspection. The vehicle has never been involved in an accident - it was subject to bare metal preparation and repainted in its original colour in 2002 by a paint and panel shop with major insurance company accreditation."

Owner Comments

This is by far the best 240z in Australia, it is a naturally aspirated 350 Chev engine, Turbo 350 Auto Gearbox, 3600RPM Dominator Converter, 4.40 Limited Slip Diff, 600 HP, Capable of running mid 10's down the 1/4 mile, upgraded brakes/springs/suspension, candy apple red in colour, with the californian wide body kit, front and rear spoilers, this is a show car and is very unique and rare. Almost every part of the car is new and upgraded. The car also has MSD Ignition and a new Slim aluminium Radiator, Engine is built by Trick & Mansweto Racing, This car has been built from scratch and no shortcuts have been taken, there is too much to list, have spent over 80k on this car, please call me for more information, Genuine buyers only and no time wasters please.

Take off the rear wing, bug catcher and guages and it would look heaps nicer. I really doubt its the best in oz but you can see the work that has gone into it and if someone wants to pay him 55k then good luck to him.  ::)

I don't understand why people think they can improve on the Z tail lights (240 and 260). I personally love the original lights, suit the rear end really well. Each to his own though.

best car comes down to personal taste.  To him it probably is the best.

But to me it looks like it has been done in custom hot rod style and just my opinion this style does not suit a car that was designed to be a sports car

however i can appreciate the work that has gone in to it. he has done a very good job

I think this style would more suit somthing like a 260c

Sorry reverendzed, but I hit the 'buy it now' last night at 1am.

I've been looking for a 240 or 260 (2 seater) for the last month, and when this one came up for $3,750 I couldn't resist. Spoke to the owner this morning and the deal is done and dusted.

This is my first Z that I've ever owned! So excited to get it back to Adelaide and start a ground up resto. The owner is glad that its getting restored and wants me to send her photos.

Look forward to being more active in the forums now that I actually got a Z!

Haha Rev. Dave needed another project like a hole in the head!

Congrats on the purchase JB :)

I hope you can handle the bodywork that it will inevitably need...

I was also looking at it today and put a $2000.00 bid on last night just to test the reserve. Oh well Lurch probably would have killed me if i picked up my 2+2 after all his hard work and dropped off another Zed with possibly even more rust hiding.

Sounds like a bargain though no matter what the condition is

congrats JB

Thanks Guys, and no hard feelings Rev.

I don't think the seller realised just how much demand there would be for the car; she was saying that her phone has been ringing all morning (number posted with the ebay ad). Just goes to show that constant vigilence on all websites, forums, classifieds, etc. can eventually pay off.

Only problem is its 'buying blind' - I'm sure there's plenty of work to be done to it. Although she has had it for 20 odd years and kept it undercover = hopefully minimal rust.

Lurch, I hear your the man to talk to about body work.... ;D
