Oh, where abouts are you from, perhaps we could take a look together and you could advise me? What days are good for you?

have you guys had achance to have a look yet?  Verdict?

So I went and had a look anyway. First ride in a Z too! Woo.

Its got no rust, the interior is not great, no carpet, a smashed parker light lense, no Z badge from the bonnet, driver interior door lock falls down and locks itself.

The paint is different shades of orange. The hatch doesn't hold up. Rear tyres are bald.

But he wont budge from 10g, he has a 1600 and 260z rally car, and a million parts, he knows his car isn't worth 3g, but I don't think its worth 10 either.

Sorry Stivva.  I found myself getting a little confused about which car we were talking about (Red or green)  :P

Up for sale is my Datsun 260z 5spd Manual 4 Seater Coupe. This car has been an pleasure to own.

June of this year the car was completely overhauled mechanically by a Z specialist that cost well over $2000 with reciepts Here is a list of what was done.

Front Brake pads Replaced

Front ball joint boots Replaced

Urethane caster rod bushes fitted

New Brake master cylinder fitted

New clutch fan fitted

Two Carburettor Overhaul kits put through

New fuel hoses

New thermostat

Performance Tune

Since then the car has travelled only 1900kms

Features

Mechanically A1 engine runs perfectly carbies are in perfect tune clutch, gearbox and diff all work perfectly

Interior is inexcellent condition fully retrimmed no rips marks or wear.

All electricals work perfectly including all gauges even the under bonnet light works!

Its very original looking matching no engine, wheels and lense covers etc

The car was roadworthied only 4 months ago and shouldn't have any problems getting another one.

The car has Vic Reg till 16 June 2010

Imperfections

The paint has a few blemishes and a few very small bubbles starting to appear. As you can see in the pics the car still presents well but could do with a coat of paint in the future.

The 260z fender badge went missing.

The doors locks are playing up. apparently its a common thing with these Z's

The dash has a minor hairline crack that could be easily repaired.

Summary

I've taken great care of this car I drive it to work on Saturdays and a few day trips here and there. The car is garaged and covered under a tarp after use. Inspection is highly recommended.

This is a turn key classic that is ready to go and still has more potential. Reserve will not be disclosed but genuine offers will be considered. Reserve is very reasonable considering the cars condition. Reason for sale I have a little one due in January and need a family car.

If you have any further questions or want to view the car please call me on 0430511055

Car is located in Riddells Creek 30 min outbound from Melbourne Airport

I've seen S30's in worse condition brought back from the dead.

Heck, that would be an A1 shell in the UK...

The 240Z is a perfect candidate for a track car - no matching numbers, no interior, nothing to 'ruin'.

The 260Z is a bit harder to call - too many shadows. But it's in one piece, and a bloody cheap starting price.

At least grab the parts. It has both sets of tail lights and rear bumper! In fact the whole back end looks to be in good shape.

I'm a bit far to check it out myself, but could be good. Looks like he has a potential Aladdin's cave over there. Looks like another 2 seater next to that 2+2 never know you could pick up a cheap 2 seater just by heading down for a look-see.
