gilltech Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Not unreasonable considering it's been done top to toe. Still costs the same as a 2-seater to do all that. Quote

OdinZ Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Would have to say Frank's Fairlady Z was a bargain compared to the GMG 2+2, which is now sitting over $77k AUD. Quote
240ZR Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Now up over $50k AUD and people thought Frank's Fairlady Z at Shannon's was too pricey. LOL! That's only because a lot of Datto owners are too tight! OdinZ and gav240z 2 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 20, 2018 Author Administrators Posted March 20, 2018 Yes and no, I actually think there is a market for high level restored S30Z's, the problem is many take too many shortcuts when fixing these cars and just slap em' together give em' a lick of paint and then expect to get good money for them. Administrators gav240z Posted March 26, 2018 Author Administrators Posted March 26, 2018 YoLo https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Datsun-Z-Series-240z/323168131663 $26,500 Buy it now. 1973 Datsun 240z with an L28 Block and N47 head. Triple Weber 40s and Cannon manifold. 4 speed transmission. Original California car. I purchased this car a few years back and finished a restoration started by a local friend in Long Beach that had one too many projects. The look and style of the restoration is inspired by the Japanese Fairlady Z. Too many new parts to list, new weather seals throughout, new rubber, new trim, and most exposed metal trim, parts and hardware have been chromed or zinc plated. New paint, new full dash cap over cracked original dash. Since restoration was complete the vehicle has less than 1,000 miles on it and to much to list is new, for example; Wheels and tires, Brake pads, Shocks/Springs, Fluids, Interior fully restored. The car runs healthy, strong, and starts on the first crank with an electric fuel pump. Idles smooth, revs quick, very reliable and runs cool. I've enjoyed my time with it but I don't have the time to drive it, nor do I have the time to continue working on it and my other projects. I wish I could continue to make it better but for those reasons I have finally decided to sell. The following items are a few that I have not had time to sort out: The speedometer may be disconnected (stopped working two months ago). The heat is disconnected but I have never actually needed it. Turn signal fronr lights stopped working shortly after restoration (may need to be taken apart or replaced). Stereo Needs antenna connected. The numbers are professionally installed vinyl decals that can be removed by the new owner if desired. I have posted the maximum pictures allowed by eBay in an effort to provide as much image information for your viewing pleasure. Please review them carefully before asking questions. The car is sold as pictured and I have tried to describe it accurately and honestely however this car is used and there could be issues that I am unaware of. For that reason the car is sold as is where is. I will be uploading close to 50 photos to a photogallery on Photobucket slideshow and linking it here, you can copy this link to see all photos: http://s189.photobucket.com/user/Studioceja1/library/1973%20Datsun%20240z If you cannot see the gallery please contact me and I can share more photos. Please contact me with questions. The purchaser of this car will need to make a 500 deposit within 48 hours of auction end via Paypal and the balance is due COD during pickup within 7 days. Pick up, transportation/shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyers. The vehicle will be made available once payment has been made and completely cleared. The car is located in Orange County California. Thanks! OdinZ 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 26, 2018 Author Administrators Posted March 26, 2018 Looks like an "honest" example on BAT right now. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-46/ Might have been 918 orange originally however.. CURRENT BID: $9,150 ENDS IN: 6:26:14 Could be a bit of a bargain! Quote
