road rider Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 1971 Mazda R100 M10A Manual Check out the car stacker! Only yours for $135k AUD. The car stacker is one thing, but the cars stacked within blew me away! That's a shed that dreams are made of.....if only there were a few Z's. The seller isn't selling cause he needs cash for another project or anything. Hence the asking price, throw it out there and see what happens! If he gets it, it can only be a good thing for other R100 owners. gav240z 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted November 9, 2017 Author Administrators Posted November 9, 2017 Yes people like to say something is only for sale at a price someone is willing to pay. However conversely to that, something is only for sale at a price the seller is willing to accept. Quote
Cozza Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 R100 asking prices have been above the $100k mark for a couple years. I have no idea what the actual sale price is, or how long they take to sell at that price though. gav240z 1 Quote

260DET Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 That body kit looks awful, particularly the rear guards. On the other hand there is a bloke on HybridZ doing one for his S30 which looks sensational although it's almost a rebody. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted December 9, 2017 Author Administrators Posted December 9, 2017 Nice Fairlady for sale. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/datsun/240z/datsun-fairlady-z-240z/8119042 Asking £30,000 Vehicle Description Japanese imported JDM Nissan Fairlady Z, the Japanese equivalent of the UK market Datsun 240Z. 1973, right hand drive, manual, in orange. Recently imported into Ireland, this car appears to have been well looked after, with all seals and lines straight and intact. It would appear to have benefitted from indoor storage. The Japanese market 2 litre engine has been upgraded with triple solex carbs. Electronic ignition has been added to aid starting. There is no rust to speak of and while the paintwork has marks, based on the age I would describe the finish as 'Honest'. Quote

HS30-H Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 RE backdated styling I get the same impression, but not enough photos to tell for sure. It says it's in Ireland, but photos look like Japan still to me. That always strikes me as either lazy, or jumping the gun. They are trying to sell it from (very) limited photos, and next to no data, before they've even got it in their hands. Doesn't exactly fill a potential buyer with feelings of trust. Nine times out of ten they don't even know what it is they are selling either. "The Japanese market equivalent of the UK market Datsun 240Z" would be an HS30-prefixed Fairlady 240Z-L, not an S30 (or S31) prefixed Fairlady Z-L. gav240z 1 Quote
