Administrators gav240z Posted October 15, 2017 Author Administrators Posted October 15, 2017 HLS30 00503 11/69 build date. http://www.ebay.com/itm/192333897286 Starting bid: US $25,000.00 Reserve not met This 240z was the 503rd car in the first production run*. It was built in November of 1969 and first sold in 1970. This all matching z has a flawless dash, solid tool kit covers, great carpets, and the body doesn't have one spec of rust anywhere. Because of a factory flaw some cracks developed in the paint not long after delivery and Datsun paid to have this fixed. But most of the car has the original paint that as you can see in the photos still looks as good as new. And mechanically it runs and drives as good as it looks. *Of HLS30's... Quote

Day after day, the sight that is placed in the parking lot in the middle of the school, and "I wish cool. I wish want to ride someday." I was yearning thought to time through. Then, come home also settled down to take the old, it looks like a little use the Gokin to that of their own, In three years I began to want to put the "Z" on hand from once may be in before dying, Will find in Yahoo! Auctions, we got to persuade the daughter-in-law. There is a "Z," which had been exhibited before I buy. 2 million at the time of the remaining four days because I have exceeded 3 million outright Have only not think to direct negotiations now I was giving up. Is a video that was on before you buy. Then I put around the hand other than the engine-related. Located in the in the Yahoo photo below, but put the thing purchased as replacement parts at that time. Such as power steering and harmonic drive that is not listed in the image was also changed. Because I do not have riding only 3000km in three years, it is almost maintenance and Choi ride about. Of course, I did not ride at all on rainy days since I owned. I myself may be wet, the car is because I do not want to get wet (... that was amazed to say this to the daughter-in-law) Exterior The nose is split, but whether genuine can not understand. Wanteru is also missing even without clean cracks in the genuine. The it is through the inspection over fender also put in, but will enter the 5 number frame Conversely, put a washer between the set screw of the fender, was granted a three-number spread. But is the door mirror, not Yuzure not absolutely Jaguar mirror of this type, was looking on the net, and we have some people that is reprinted, with about 30,000 yen was purchased. But, mirror itself is because there is very behind in the plane mirror was hard to see, asked to skilled in the art, it has been replaced by a slightly cut the convex mirror of the blue. Interior I do not smoke, the room is never thought smell tobacco. It takes about I think did not smoke also previous owner us. So, we covered with a Kameari from the top cover made of (new). You and switches are also almost running (watch seems useless), electric antenna also ugo. Gas leak also not, because it is genuine Pounding I get a cold wind from the balloon center. Underbody is by processing a pillow upper to the harmonic drive (new) of Mr. Star-Lord This is attached. Spring rate, I think it was a front 7k rear 5k. Tires Neovastat 8-copy mountain wheel is not even scratch with 8.0J and 9.5J of Watanabe. Soon also purchase power steering, was fitted with a new one. (Very easy) It was put around the hand other than the inside of the engine. There is a separate image, but put the thing purchased as replacement parts at that time. Such as power steering and harmonic drive that is not listed in the image was also changed. It originally was a fairly clean car, but still there was a small rust and scratches, it also healed. Us, and was a 58-year-old, because indeed no power steering without air conditioning is tough, Also from the beginning that I bought was can use the genuine air-conditioned now to purchase points. Nde was riding also R35GTR the same time, I did not think about to put their hands up to this car's engine. Trying to spend money in the three-liter full tune, but because I thought it would not extend also to the GTR feet. And It is the corresponding likely to be in that it is normal failure or the like. I think it would be a state in the middle people is difficult to understand in several sheets about image, posted on YouTube. Even if it is seen that if there is a purchase intention, only two weeks to the end of the auction Not to, since I have a exchange of expensive Gokin, I think that tight. Once, about two to four weeks at exorbitant lowest accepted bid price, the last two weeks continue to exhibition and from 2.5 million start. Since the mind is completely not to prompt decision, the question of the hand does not answer. So, because it convinced even 2.5 million if there is no bid only one person, the price remains the flow will leave. Also written many times, 3,000,000 (There is also a receipt) from the purchase, the parts cost, we put a considerable Gokin and replacement cost-painted sheet metal. So, from what you are selling a used car shop of its sides there is a confident and totally different. If you get a capable convenience be seen in about one month, please think carefully from a look at the actual vehicle. The final is scheduled to be in the end of the auction on November 19 (Sunday). The subsequent holidays (Nante I wish or 23 to have good come to take during the 26 days, we arbitrarily thought) When the well looking at the people of the auction, but you stay is better to be a question in English, I English do not understand at all because the Japanese crunchy. So, please ask a question from the first translated into Japanese. After, towards the car of the seller should be allowed. Being resold is because I do not want. Another single, had occasionally used to go to the golf, also medium-s cool Atenza sedan it has sent. In fact, even with gold chase out to sell 2 units, there is really want the car. This is also a car that I wanted once made from the front to the owner in until his death. For that purpose because, I exhibit the treasure was riding to care. Both cars, I hope that I am cherish to the next owner. Thank you. Quote

theremm Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Just remember fellas and gals there is nuttin' shhhhhticky tape cannot fix! Appears to be a genuine HS30-H I'm guessing it will fall in the range: HS30-121XX - HS30-1000XX (based on L24 engine no.) Wouldn't it be a much lower VIN than that? The speedo starts at 20kph - I thought that was something specific to very early cars? Quote

It looks like a 71 model Fairlady 240ZG, export market cars had 20mph speedo's but I'm not sure if the km/h units used in Japan went from the same 20 -> 0 change over the years as the export market cars. AUS$33,500 + shipping Has anyone shipped a car from the States lately to know the rough import costs. Might be an obvious question, but 260z 2+2 dash would bolt straight in I would imagine. Along with RHD cross member and steering rack ? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 18, 2017 Author Administrators Posted October 18, 2017 Yes 260z/280z dashboards are the same, as for steering racks yes. The biggest challenge would be modifying the firewall I'd imagine. In my opinion I wouldn't bother with RHD/LHD conversion, just import and enjoy. Possibly the best example seen in many years, this vehicle is proudly offered for sale at www.musclecarsales.com.au. Features All original running gear, interior and paint!!. In 1968 Mazda added a Familia Rotary model to the range, offered in both two-door coupé and four-door sedan variants. Sedan models were given an additional “SS” nameplate. The Familia Rotary was powered by a 982 cc 10A rotary engine and the coupé version was sold outside Japan as the “Mazda R100”. After an April 1970 update (known colloquially in Australia as the Series 2) it was known as the “Familia Presto Rotary” in Japan as the Presto nameplate was added into the entire Familia range. Power was rated at just 100 hp (70 kW) due to a small carburettor (thus the “R100” name). The rotary engined R100 has a unique front end design, with a more prominent pointed hood, grille, and bumper. The rear also gained its own design with twin round tail lights, which became for a time a signature design element for the rotary engined versions of Mazda’s cars. Inside, the cars were more sumptuously appointed with plusher seats and chrome plated accents, full sized interior door trim panels, a floor mounted handbrake lever, and a unique cockpit styled dashboard with full instrumentation. Mazda referred to this dashboard as the “T-Dash”, and fitted it to top spec piston engined variants of the Familia on the Japanese market as well as the rotary models. Administrators gav240z Posted November 9, 2017 Author Administrators Posted November 9, 2017 What's interesting is that 2 of the Mazda R100's are more 'survivor's' than restored examples. I do wonder if the unrestored theme to collector car values will continue to be a thing? Quote
