Like you I was quoted $176.73 for the transmission mount supplied ex Japan by a Aus Nissan dealer, not sure about the aftermarket ones so will probably go with the Nissan part (along with other parts I need - to get the postage down per unit) from the USA.

Not much progress to date - replaced some bushes. And started on the engine bay where, over time, spilt brake fluid? seems to have stuffed the paint and allowed some surface rust to develop.

I am also interested in any information on the RWC / rego implications of an L28 in a 240/260Z. My 260z had an L28 in it which was fitted +25 years ago by the original owner. Rego lapsed 2 years ago.

Has been a wonderful car for the 7 years that I have had it, but with 3 children, I don't have time for a sports coupe at this point in my life. The motor, an L28 (L28442708) was refreshed by Stuart Wilkins Motorsport (NSW) in 2013/2014 with the head being ported and polished in Silverwater while it was off. It also has a larger aftermarket cam, Twin round top SU's and an electronic ignition. The engine is backed by a 5 speed manual Transmission. Bodywork is a mixture of Marugen Shoukai IMSA style flares to suit a G-Nose that have been modified to suit a short nose car with a Restored.jp carbon front air dam (painted) and also has a three piece rear duck tail spoiler from Marugen Shoukai to compliment the large flares. The colour is 40th anniversary gun metal grey from the 370z, but extra pink pearl was added to the mix. The wheels are custom Work Miesters S1s that have been modified at Eastern Wheel Works (Victoria) to fit the wide body. The interior has had a freshen up and has a Pioneer head unit installed in the glove box and contains a discreet 6 speaker sound system that doesn't detract from the era correct interior with Momo Prototippo Steering wheel. The car isn't perfect, it has some flaws in the paint, but that is a few years old now and it has been driven quite a bit (including some interstate trips) The car really needs coilovers instead of the king springs and older shock absorbers it has currently, and would probably benefit from larger brakes to handle the wider rubber. But it really is a great looking ride, the motor is bullet proof and has a lot of torque for an old 6. I am not looking for any swaps, not interested in hosting joyrides or entertaining tyre kickers, nothing will be parted out and I will not respond to low ball offers. Obviously I reserve the right to cancel the sale, or auction at any time.
