  2. For those looking for rubber steering rack bushes (260Z) : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Steering-Rack-Bushing-Set-for-75-78-280Z-74-260Z-Made-in-Japan-Ships-Fast/162854445586?hash=item25eae1a212:g:VeAAAOSwYDZaXWNI
  3. If you showed yours to a woman she would know it was not 10" !
  4. Not sure if this a resprayed car but this is what is on a 2+2 parts car I inherited :
  5. There was a change from the 73 240 to the first of the 260s From Service Bulletin Vol.197, mods from 240Z to 260Z published in late 1973 :
  6. A run from Yarragon to Mirboo North via the Grand Ridge Road might be of interest then?
  7. Not sure if this supplier has been posted before : http://www.nzdatsunparts.co.nz/ For one off items the freight may be cheaper than sourcing items from the USA.
  8. Ask him to send the full purchase and postage costs to you using something like PayPal cash at which time you will then send him the parcel. This should determine if he is genuine.
  9. Seems there may have been a lot of returns : DUE TO UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES, PHIL'S ROTARYS IS CLOSING DOWN. EVERYTHING MUST GO!
  10. Based on the advertised price of the individual parts on eBay, your price of $300 is reasonable for the lot. Box it all up, weigh the box, then see what quote you get on the Interparcel website. Interparcel did a door to door pick up/delivery service when I sent a parcel to the UK at a very reasonable rate.
  11. Not sure if this reproduction console link has been posted before : http://retrospec-datsun.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/retro-spec-280z-260z-composite-center.html
  12. Maybe some extra foam on the (upper) sides of the seat area - hard to say from your photo. The pic below shows my 260Z seat foam with and without the new seat cover on it. As Gilltech mentioned the new seat cover does have some foam on the underside of the seat area and this may help keep this area of the seat crease free.
  13. Seems to be a common issue as the SW Motorsport extractors flange is thinner than the flange on the Kameari (Harada) inlet manifold.
  14. Yep, time for some Eastwoods internal frame coating spray (or similar).
  15. Whilst they do not show up on his web site I understand Stewart Wilkins still supplies them: https://www.swmotorsport.com.au/ Maybe give him a call to ask about availability.
  16. There are five for sale on eBay (unfortunately all in the USA).
  17. Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the extra info. Good to know what the potential issues are, but as you say a relatively easy fix compared to rust! I was just trying to establish the cost / benefit of a repo versus panel beating an original ( no indicator hole) rust free guard.
  18. How did you find the fitment / panel gaps (esp. with the doors) of the aftermarket guards?
  19. Looks nice, well done on the upgrades and keeping the cost under wraps!
  20. This is what was supplied with my 45 Webers : http://www.jcy.co.jp/hrd/M1001.htm
  21. An old thread but worth a refresh by adding that Les Collins also recommends the Castrol Edge 25w-50. A mineral oil with zinc that is better for L series engines.
  22. Picked up my rebuilt L28 engine from LCR - now to get working on the rest of the car! : Flat top pistons which, with welded chambers, give 10.77 : 1 compression ratio : Welded up chambers of the N42 head.
  23. Now moved to Seaford, Melbourne.
  24. nissanpartsdeal.com, Aus$80, plus shipping of probably $60.
  25. Took the gearbox out to give it an external clean up as well as replacing the transmission insulator. Will have to also clean down (degrease) the body transmission tunnel as it appears that over time oil leaking from the oil pressure sender has been blown back over everything so a mix of old oil and dust/dirt. Gearbox has some number markings : Drained the oil from the gearbox and it looked nice and clean however the drain plug magnet showed quite a bit of steel "fillings"!
