  1. rolling on the floor laughing my f**king ass off It's true though, stop trashing 2+2s you snobs!
  2. My car went from 78rwkw with Hitachi's (probably needed a rebuild) to 94rwkw with triple dellorto 40s. It has a lot more torque down low with the dellortos compared to stock but really runs out of puff over 5k RPM. I'd recommend 44s if you can justify the expense, I wish I did!

  4. HS/HD6 carbs are 1 3/4 inch (44mm) throats and Hitachis are 46mm
  5. 15x6.5 +18 will fit a Z but will be pretty close to the struts on the front and not look particularly great. With similar offsets the front tyres used to rub on my front struts under lock.
  6. Short springs = very choppy ride. I imagine these would make the car pretty uncomfortable
  7. (I think) english is also Freddy's second language which might explain the limited responses. The retail arm of his business realistically is worth a poofteenth of his overall business because people who own Porsche, Mclaren, Lambo etc GT3 cars and other race cars are probably willing to drop a hell of a lot more cash with him... more than anyone else, especially if it means the parts come sooner!
  8. Forgive my ignorance but isn't the yellow line on the 10k RPM tacho an adjustable needle?
  9. For anyone not willing to pay highway robbery for correct/NOS fender mirrors it appears that someone is now reproducing them for a slightly more... *ahem*... modest price. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j415606679 Still over $480AUD before shipping though.
  10. You will be hard pressed to find a non-EGR intake in Australia. I'm fairly sure they were only available in the USA on early (75 - mid 76) 280Z. I've seen a few on eBay for about $200usd or less if you're willing to splurge.
  11. The seller is also selling an L20 six cylinder motor... Not sure if they are related. I would be asking them to measure the throat diameter (should be 1.75" or 44mm) before committing to anything.
  12. I have had the same issues twice now and it's just because the switches are old and worn out. I cleaned out the old grease, put new grease in and cleaned the contacts as best I could both times and each time it might last 6-12 months before flogging out again.
  13. Ask Carbon Freddy (Topstage) and he might be able to make something for you.
  14. My experiences... Rare Spares/Z Car Depot/Scotts Old Auto Rubber kits are just profiles cut to size and are TERRIBLE. Avoid at all costs. They have no welting for the corners and will leak to buggery because the corners crease and fold. MSA and probably the others offering full rubber kits source their products from a company called Precision. Fit and finish is ok but the seals are on the plump side and can be a pain in the butt to fit. The door seals are pretty junk compared to OEM for example. My advice is to get the MSA kit, throw away the door seals and go to the wreckers and get a pair of door seals from an early 2000s Kia Sportage... or buy them new from your local Kia dealership. 15. LA Smash Repairs in Collingwood fixed my brother's RX7 and they did an incredible job. They are also the preferred repairer for Porsche, Ferrari and most of the other prestige marques so they aren't exactly cheap!
  16. I'm glad. Their last season was significantly... ahem... "Americanised" with fake banter and it was pretty painful. Hopefully he will pop up elsewhere doing his thing.
  17. Yes they do, they stick like shit to a blanket but they hurt my kidneys
  18. Jen, we all know you're not coming back once you flip that 2+2.
  19. Clearly he's putting the stock engine back in so he can sell the car and buy a 120Y
  20. Haha I did that last night in anticipation for Sunday! I discovered the LHF brake caliper is dragging and causing the car to wander all over the shop, which isn't exactly confidence inspiring for a hills run
  21. Mmm Bolwell. A Ford powered Nagari is right up there as a dream car for me!
  22. I'm out too sorry guys, I'm getting married in 2 weeks and I need to spend my Sunday getting the car ready for the big day. I was hoping to have cleared a few more things from my to-do list than I have at this point.
  23. The seller was obviously keyword mining to maximise hits on his listing. Pretty funny because it mentions pretty much every car I have ever searched on Gumtree in one link!
