  1. Blacking out the chrome is what makes that second 2+2 really pop.
  2. Instead of using your fingers I've done this in the past with good results: 1. Put two plastic tubes into the fluid reservoirs 2. Connect them to the bleed nipples on the side of the master (black nipples in top below photo) 2. Bolt master cylinder to booster, connect brake lines to master 3. Fill reservoirs 4. SLOWLY stroke the brake pedal until all the bubbles goes away (helpful to have a spotter here) 5. Bleed the rest of the system working from LR, RR, LF, RF (furthest brake to the nearest)
  3. Please people stop trying to help this clown he will not listen to you. Just look at all of his other threads!
  4. For the uninitiated, can someone please explain the supposed benefits of the BMW unit over the standard item?
  5. The owner has a number of these for sale which is why the ad is still up.
  6. That is absolutely brutal. Sounds like he doesn't want to sell it at all.
  7. I used either a 0.8mm copper washer or a 1.5mm washer (I can't remember) for my S12-8 Hilux calipers to center them over the rotor... about 3 years after I put the calipers on. It really hasn't made any significant difference to pad wear at all.
  8. I've got a set of these to suit square ports (N42 head). The flange thickness on these headers is quite thin, meaning I had to weld up washers to get everything to line up square with my Redline manifold. I'm not sure of the flange thicknesses of the other types of header but at this price point it's probably on the thin side.
  9. I think about that from time to time myself
  10. I've had a photo of that bronze 260Z on my desktop for years, it's an awesome example of period correct 70s goodness!
  11. Anyone seriously considering the Prince should have a chat to Jason @ the Prince Skyline GT Register so they know what they are getting themselves into
  12. Bumping this thread back from the dead. I've recently obtained some 45 Webers and need a new manifold to suit my (standard/unported) engine. Should I get the big port or small port manifold? I've got no concerns grinding the manifold to clear the thermostat, I just want what's best suited to the carbs and engine. Edit: I've noticed there are two types of Harada manfold available. So on top of the small vs big port, which is better? Variant 1 or 2? Variant 1: http://www.jcy.co.jp/hrd/M1002.htm and Variant 2: http://www.jcy.co.jp/hrd/MP1002R.htm
  13. The middle carb is a solex and the other two are Mikunis. Interesting...
  14. I use HPR 30 and haven't had any issues. I don't know how much better the Castrol oil is but I'm happy to support an Australian company like Penrite which make great oils and support the classic car community.
  15. That white car is so similar to mine! The owner clearly has excellent taste I got down there just as things were wrapping up. It was good to see so many cars (of a very high standard) even with the threat of inclement weather.
  16. I really should stop reading this guys threads but I love how he keeps coming back with the same questions after ignoring what everyone says. RICHEN YOUR DAMN FUEL MIXTURE
  17. The booster will be fine but I would suggest upgrading to a 15/16" master cylinder.

    New Webers?

This is also an excellent reference for tuning: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/28318-weber-jetsall-who-live-for-their-triples-please-read-this/
  19. Damn Locky, that's looking great! Love the trick clamp at the collector end.
  20. Ferntree Gully Nissan are long time supporters of Classic Skylines Australia and have always looked after their club members.
  21. Yesterday I hosed off the dust and took it to Datsun Day, it was really good to get it out for a drive instead of just staring at it in my garage. It was also good to know summer has finally arrived because my car's seasonal issue of "venting" fuel out the breather onto the road on hot days has started again. Joy.

  23. Fucking snipers. I'm fuming
  24. If I was in the market for a center console I would pay the $$$ for a new one, it's well worth it to get one while they are still available.
