Have you thought about going for a larger bottle Peter? The Fibreglass will be very difficult to extinguish if it does catch fire and the 1.2kg bottles run out fast. What about a 4kg bottle (approx size of a mini keg) up the front of the passenger footwell with plumbing into the engine bay/cabin. A foot rest infront to protect it and remote pull cord mounted on the trans tunnel. From what I've seen they're not cheap @ $500 but in the scheme of things it's not much considering all the work you have invested.

I did a half fill of 'hard blok' on my stroker. So far it's been fine, I've given it a hard time on the road during hot weather and water and oil temps were fine. I'd guess and oil cooler would be required for track work though. It was a little hard to get it poured into the block but with a second person it wasn't too bad. I filled up to the bottom of the water pump inlet.

Sounds interesting Aaron, particularly the modified dizzy. Will that be used instead of a crank trigger?

I tested four L28 blocks recently for my stroker to find one suitable to take to 89mm bores. While buying parts I had email correspondence with a well know L-series builder in the USA who told me he doesn't even sonic test his over bored builds!

Here's the spare I have Nav, has a scrape on the front (pictured). Free to good home if you want it.

There's heaps of good info here, also some more on HybridZ. You'll probably have to upgrade shocks on anything over 250lbs depending on what you currently have as they'll blow out.

They sound very similar to me. I have only used POR15, it's great but don't leave it exposed to UV for too long as it can not handle it at all. Surely the moisture would be drawn from the atmosphere and not the sheet metal?

Shannons do vary with there pricing. I've had mine inspected a few times now and it depends on who you have. Most times when a few people come out to view it the outcome has been good.

Yeah Cozza those wheel arches are a bugger! It's something I wasn't bothered about until recently. Good work with the focus, surprising that they all fit. I'd definately recommend taking seats with you to try before you buy.

Yeah spot on PB. I guess it could be a little out of the ordinary as we have twins so you can't offset the seat behind the passenger or driver (which ever needs the room) or in the middle. We had quite a few sales people come out to look. They were very surprised to see how little room there was left in the 6 wagon with two people over 6ft and having looked at it last week I was shocked it wouldn't work. Just for the record we are using rear facing baby seats as these were smaller than the smallest capsule available currently. I must say, I'm very impressed with Mazda's, The Mazda 3 hatchback has been bulletproof. We ended up going for the new CX-9. Sub 40k with a trade in, from test drive and first impressions it's great. The value for money, styling and drive quality are wonderful.

We tried the Mazda 6 with the rear facing baby seats in the back today. We found it didn't have enough room in the front for either of us to be able to drive. If your short it may be ok.

Perhaps specifics of what you did to gain the agreed value as well would be helpful? The more of us asking for higher insurance values can only be a good thing.

Why not specify that 'discount' price here first two months ago? Surely it's nowhere near the $1100 mark up? I'm glad ebay/paypal didn't charged me those fees when I have sold items of this value. If it is a for sale thread, start a new thread & list realistic price.
