It's looking great - I really like the louvers on the hatch. They're 15" wheels, right?

Spot on. Nothing fancy 15 X 6 Superlights.

Hi peter

How did you go with the motor in the end did they fix it for you

Hi Peter, took it back for the 800k check and seems to be quieter or maybe I am just use to it. Dicks stuffed around with the mixture screws on the Holly and it was running like a piece of crap but I fixed that when I got it home. Runs a bit rich on my {your} settings , 2 turns out, but I think the only way to fix that is to invest in some smaller jets as Dave has done in W.A. Otherwise it pulls great and seems to have plenty of grunt. Have to fix the throttle cable as well as only getting 3/4 throttle. I am making some new mounts for the cable to get rid of the three right angle turns which should make it a bit lighter on my foot. With new mounts I will have a gentle turn to the left, only down side is it will have be disconnected to remove rocker cover. Not such a great hassel though. Still have to paint the front spoiler but that can wait as I am too busy on weekends driving around. In the Z of course.

Thought I would bling up the engine a bit so blasted the rocker cover and painted it. As always happens, I was in too much of a hurry and got a few runs so will have to blast it again and paint again. Should look good. A bit different from the usual black or red or polished, but will go with the car colour. {Green and gold} 8) Plus a cool pic of the bus. 8)

The black bit on the battery is the clamp. Might get it chromed one day as you suggest. Only trouble is the next battery will probably be a different colour. 8)

Well the ironing board turned up today from MSA and now I have a bit of work in prepping and painting. Nothing ends when you own a Z. The cheese and kisses is not impressed as you can tell but it [the car  ;)] will look better when I get around to fitting the metal rear louvre as well. The plastic one sticks out a bit too far when you add the board. Will paint the front spoiler at the same time to kill two birds with the one stone. 8)

Love the colour of your 2+2 realy suits it.

Something about that green on a z just seems to be right at home. Similar to as Zedevan's Z. Love it.

Nice work Peter

Though not sure about your ironing board.

Maybe it will be lot better once painted.

Enjoy the next step

Update on the ironing board. Well it had to go and is still up for sale. However, not to be put off by the wife, I bought a XY Falcon GT rear wing which after fitting to the Z the little lady is happy and I might add so am I. Being smaller than the MSA Z one it quite suits the Z. Still have to paint it and in two minds whether black or green. I will make a decision in the month or so but for now it can sit there naked. 8)

After putting up with my 10 foot paint job for so long I decided to do something about it. Was most likely told by Serpent what to do but it didn"t regester. Car looked good from 10 foot but the clearcoat had a lot of frosting and streaks so after looking at you tube, have started to rub the bus down with 2000 wet and dry then polishing. What a difference, it is shining like a lighthouse. Probably could go bit further back with the rubbing but being an amature painter, I am only going so-far with great results. The bus is looking great and I am happy with the new results and the best part, I did it myself. 8)
