potter260 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) After 13 years of slowly restoring my car, and really been getting into it lately as I was to drive it to my wedding in 5 months. I only had door cards, seat belts, radio, mirrors and rear bumper to go.... Flood got the better of her. Moved it to higher ground obviously not high enough, went through my parents garage 3m short 200mm of there main house. 2+2 I only picked up from Alan 2 weeks ago got hit as well Edited November 17, 2017 by potter260 Quote
GK510 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Sorry to see this. I'd imagine gutted would only go halfway to describe how you'd be feeling. Quote
chris240 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Is the carpet and interior still damp ? If so , grab a 2400 watt small electric heater, leave the door open, sit the heater on a milk crate and let it run overnight... My biggest worry would be the under dash wiring and concealed wiring, the engine bay is priority 3 or 4.. Humidity is the concern. Love the headlight ! Hope it goes well. Quote
potter260 Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 Won't know about any insurance until this week Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted April 2, 2017 Administrators Posted April 2, 2017 Gutted for you mate, wouldn't blame you for wanting to throw the towel in after all that effort. Hope you don't though and still get to the wedding in it. Life has a way of throwing us curveballs like this. Quote
600Z Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Oh man I'm feeling for you, at least only fresh water. Lots of work but you might be surprised at how little damage apart from the mud it's done, well let's hope. Quote
Windsor Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 So sorry mate. I hope she can be resurrected. As long as you (and family) are OK, then Z's can be rebuilt. Quote
