AndBir Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Overall the inline 6 compares very well with other 6 cylinder layouts : (Yes, the flat 6 can go to higher rpms, but a much more complex engine) Quote
AndBir Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 Very Off topic - "Window selection criteria". And I thought it was only important to have stone chip resistant glass : gilltech and Enzo 2 Quote
gilltech Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 (edited) But the guard didn't attempt to shoot back at the ute? Why not? Or have I been watching too many episodes of CSI, NCIS and Hawaii Five-oh? Edited July 9, 2021 by gilltech Quote

gilltech Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Having a long barrelled rifle and scope in the confines of a small vehicle is pointless in any case. He should have been carrying a close quarter weapon. Quote

I spent 7 years doing FiFo work Aus<->Sthn Africa and did once happen across a truck hijack in progress when driving to Johannesburg from the Free State. The guys got out of a small Datsun ute with their 9mm pistols drawn just as I drove past the truck in my "non-amoured" Hilux - needless to say I stamped on the accelerator and never looked back! Too many guns in South Africa - probably similar to the USA? gilltech and gav240z 2 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 10, 2021 Administrators Posted July 10, 2021 I lived in Jo'Burg in 2012 for a few months. I have to say I really enjoyed living over there at the time. It was a bit wild west and appealed to me at the time. But I wouldn't want to raise a family over there. Worst I had was some dodgy beggars trying to jump in the back of my mates car because we happened to be polite enough to speak with him at the lights and offer him a few coins. Some truly desperate people in parts of the country. You have to be careful where you drive and what times in parts of JoBurg. Google maps nearly sent me into a few dodgy shantytowns and trouble with it.. gilltech 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 5, 2021 Administrators Posted October 5, 2021 A bit more "fraud" expose in the Japanese Auction Market. Dodgy S15 given grade 4. OdinZ 1 Quote
PeterAllen Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Just watched a show on Foxtel 'BANGERS and CASH'. Seasons 3 Episode 5. It's a show you can take in small doses. Same theme repeated over and over and fake homely dialogue. It featured 3 Zs from the US being sold at a UK auction. It also showed something of the 'Z Factory' which I think most on here would have heard about. Quote

Michael Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Dennis Collins, Wealthy American bloke that scopes out Shelbys every other week for resell or rebuild, has gotten into an exceptionally original 240z in the states. Worth a watch for the story of the car. I Enjoy this blokes channel, Numbers are never said nor negotiated on screen. Its all about the cars/stories. (And working on there celebrity status I guess) Quote
