    Hi Mate You won't regret going the for special 3 core unit. I put a 3 core dimple tube core in the Chev and have never looked back. Would have dne the same for the Z but decided to give the alloy a go, originality wasn't that important to me. Cheers PB

    Hi Rudi Yes my bus had a few signs of minor surface rust in the back of the roof that were visible through the hinge aperture. Lockie and I discussed this and I elected to treat it rather than pull the entire roof apart. Not the perfect solution, but the most appropriate for what I was intending with my car. Cheers PB

    I agree $12k seems a bit low, that interior is very good (if you can live with brown) and the body also looks OK. As always I wonder what is under the paint. Should sell quickly

    Hmmm, By the time you added freight from the US it would be well over AUD3,000 - For that much money, surely you could find a shop to split and restore the existing tank ?

    So very true, and I have had to deal with that problem with previous project cars. Thankfully the Z has been OK on that front. I often suspect it is caused by a combination of - laziness (but ends up being more work) - lack of required skills (can be learnt) - lack of correct tools (expensive) But i am not sure in what order.     Manufacturing in Aus in very very expensive, in some cases costing 3-4 times as much as in some of our neighbouring countries.Many many reasons behind this, and way to complex to get into on a forum, suffice to say I find some of the costs incurred in producing a car in Aus dumbfounding.

    Hi Steel rims were the standard fitment. New cars are transported without the hubcaps fitted, avoids them getting damaged

    Had a feeling that Retrosound was the product you were reffering to. Mine is not the best match for a Z, it has too much chrome. (I got mine second hand for about 50% of retail) There is one that is black with black knobs that would be a better match. I am thinking that I will get some black knobs for mine. Cheers PB
