    Yeah, The SXV will surely be one to watch - it is rare and being a Subaru there should be good availability of alternative and more powerful engines. There is one for sale at the moment for $8,000

    Hi Mate You are develping some solid skills. Interesting to look at the inner surfaces of that tailgate shell, no wonder Z's are prone to rust. These days cars are dipped to ensure every single crevice is coated, that combined with adviances in steel technology have greatly reduced the threat posed by rust. Cheers PB

    I am still amazed at the values for 240K's, in the mid 80's they were throw away things Wish I could work out what todays version of the throw away 240K is ? Maybe the Mitsubishi 380 VRX/GT ?

    Hi Mate You will neec to trim the hole in the floor fowards to front edge of double sheet section. You will also find that there are marks in the tunnel that align with the holes in the rubber. Drill them out and fit some nutserts and everything will align perfectly.     Hi I went past the warehouse yesterday and it looks exactly the same as every other time with no sign of recent cleaning up. I saw Warren about two weeks back and he was really struggling to get around and especially up the stairs. I would imagine a knee replacement will have him off the air for a few weeks ? Cheers PB

    Hi, Yes you will need to lift the motor, not take it out just lift it. It is fiddly and can be messy but doable. undo the engine mount bolts and jack it up carefully (watching for fan clearance etc) on the front of the bellhousing then chock the mount faces If you are not confident, best to get help with this one.     HI, Decoy is on the money. When I put the 280ZX box in my car the 280ZX gearlever was hitting the front of the console. I grabbed a 260Z shifter and that fixed the problem. Cheers PB

    Hi Andrew The temp gauge will always move slowly it is designed that way. The oil pressure reading you mention sound about right. The oil pressure will rise quicker when the engine is restarted there are two main reason for this. The oil won't have drained entirely back into the sump Warm oil flows faster. Cheers PB
