Hi I have L24-085270 Won't suit anyone as it's a matching numbers motor for my 1972 240z HS30-10813 racecar -eventually to run a Motec L28 with highly modded N42 head.

Have a look on spark plug side of motor near front (head number is stamped near front & between block/head) likely to be either N42 or E88

Hi Can you advise what cylinder head is on this L24 injected motor? N42 or other? Thanks

You should change the motor over from rotary to L Series though...

ummm Be afraid - very afraid! Sandblasting or soda may not leave you with much... :'( I agree this shell will have to be completely "unpicked & reconstructed" to ensure it really survives in the long term. Don't want to be totally negative - but this project is ONLY a job for a professional body/panel tradesman (Ledge or equally skilled). Must also say - "what price are you prepared to pay" to save this early chassis? :-\ I commend your preservation aspirations - but reality of $ required on this one is going to hurt - BIG TIME. Only my thoughts & I like your concept/commitment to preserving an early chassis. Good luck with bringing her back to life

Hey Jason, You know the ZCCQ is not "zed-eccentric" at all & any remains of that attitude died with NDN09, which was "clearly" a Nissan Datsun Nationals not a zed nationals QR will never miss an opportunity to squeeze the $ out - I think a small entry fee is Ok - but they always seem to want $20/head which puts people off. They would get more food sales if the fee was less & lets face it that is where they would make some $

I am aware of the location of a metal rear louvre that came off an original 1977 260z 2 seater. Can enquire if for sale & photograph for you if interested. Sorry - its located in Brisbane (it's the only metal one I have seen off a zed)

Will see how hard it is to find one - not in an extreme rush & they come up from time to time. Yes a lot of extra metal on the R200 can be hacked off without causing any weakness - gets scary with 9 inch angle grinder though!

Both my cars are setup for R200 - so can't be bothered to keep doing the "old switch-a-roo"

Seems to work to good effect on the old 2.1km & shorters circuits at MP (even without 9000rpm) With 16inch wheels it more like a 4.6 anyway
