It's a very dominate sound front the engine bay - you know your running one...but it is purposeful like a supercharger type whine

Agree the Kameari timing chain tensioner kit are very noisy (even when your helmet is on!) - but they do the business...probably not refined enough for day to day driving. Simple case of the "wrong manifold" being used with those SWR headers...I have the SWR headers & with a little clearancing the Redline manifold fits up fine (with no modification to the primaries on the headers).

Yep I think if I was sitting on an original unmolested example of a 240z...I wouldn't be in any hurry... However things change...sometimes week to week - so I agree one will pop up when you least expect it. Just be prepared

Hi Alan, I am sure Mike's list will include... Close ratio gearsets 7/8inch wheels in either 14 or 15 inch Triple carbs (solex/weber etc) Justifying the legality is he main issue...but in keeping with the original intent of Group Sc you would think they are "typical" period performance mods that hopefully can be demonstrated in some way

Greg & I have some old A048 Yoko's that could be entertaining to run on! Bought them for Bathurst in 2010 (FoSC meeting) and barely scrubbed them in...nonone told us Bathurst Wasn"t hard on tyres!

Undoubtedly..the 3 days of motorsport will be the "highlight" for many Normally we only get a brief 2/3rd's of a day at a "Nationals event" - so this one is offering up something special! Mallory Unilite Distributor only lasted a week

I know of someone who had 2 x targa Tasmania events ruined by faulty Mallory dizzy's & from memory they effectively self destructed inside...on 5 x separate occasions over 2 targa events! My 280zx one has been going 10 years of sprints & with 4 targa events...& is still going strong! -

Indeed...its a matter of getting people to to understand in the "world of quality restoration" (with photo history) you do get what you pay for! I am truly impressed with Ledge & if more were like him cars would not need to be restored several times! Bring on the resto shops with the same credibility -
Jason, Hutley & my engines are 2950cc I think Lee Falkner & Mckeon are the only 3.1 stokers running in qld consistently.
