  1. Sounds good Jason - I am a YES & reckon another 3 or 4 will follow from ZCCQ It was a total hoot back in 2008
  2. Agreed
  3. Hi Jason, The Injected L24 had dished pistons in it...sitting in my garage ATM fully wrapped in clear plastic BTW its available for sale if anyone can use it (fully reco. by GEM in Melbourne - BUT now minus the E88 head)
  4. Hi Jason, OK - as I know you do know your Datto's... What you are saying is the E88 head that is on my original 1972 L24 motor is in fact the same combustion chamber size as the E88 injected head I managed to secure...?
  5. Mike will want to be your MATE!
  6. Jason, I do not believe the chamber is the same...I had plenty of E88 carb. heads - but had to find the injected head to achieve the result...
  7. Looks like they conducted an autopsy! Not worth the hassle in my opinion
  8. Again - I say well done for your level of commitment to save this early chassis Wow - I am surprised NOS 1/4 panels were an option - I am also interested in where these sourced??
  9. Based on that level of commitment - if I find some seats/rails I will donate them to you (incl. freight!) I will let you know how my search goes...I am confident I have something of use BTW: NDN15 REGISTRATION PACK AVAILABLE NOW - INCL. SUPP. REGS. GO TO www.zcarclubq.org.au
  10. Hi Jason, I just worked out my total event cost as $517 Includes: Non judged show & shine doing the 2 x motorsport events (sprints & bent sprint)over 3 days incl. practice. Garage hire for weekend (nice to have cover) but it's optional & would save $60 if not required. Merchandise package Presentation dinner Beauty of this event is you can "pick out" what events you want to do & therefore how much you want to spend... If you just want to hit the track for up to 3 days doing one event & nothing else its as little $150 for bent sprint, or $200 for regularity, or $250 for the sprints
  11. In full race trim (incl. race motor) will be a few years Jason...so hitting Eastern Ck/PI/Bathurst would be the role of my Blue Tarmac car ATM. Think the weight is marginal if you buy quality parts. I have a long promised $30k+ Kitchen Reno to deliver before April 2015 for my long suffering wife...can finally deliver now we have some private school fees behind us! Richard SNR I guess the aero is better & just need to find the right "kit" - car still has the OEM ZG bonnet hinges fitted. Hi zzzzed Yes its a ultimately race car & I guess you try and do things a "little different" - I must admit it took me over 10 years from first getting involved in zed's to even "like" the ZG nose & another 5 years to "consider" putting one on a car! The S30 is a great car shape without flares/spoilers or other "add-on" bits.
  12. Hi Rev, I will have a look in my little "zed" hide away spots in the next day or so - may have something If I find something are you happy with Freight costs from Brisbane (unless someone doing a road trip)? Are you planning on doing NDN15 in Qld this Easter?
  13. A question for my "learned zed" members... Should I reinstate the ZG nose on the car.... It looked quite unique when it was on it & I must admit I am still pondering if the ZG flares can be used without the nose..? Help me out guys with some healthy debate on the subject of ZG's - " can you have the flares without the nose!"
  14. It's a healthy forum with many "like minded" individuals You have bought well & entitled to do with the car as you see fit...it really is NONE of our business The value of early matching numbers cars is appreciating
  15. MR30 skylines - most were hatchback style & not many left... Last time I saw an actual car was 10 years ago in a wreckers yard However, the motors should still be lucking around
  16. Well done... Its like the miracle of birth! well sorta kinda of!
  17. Hi Rev, Suggest you look at removing alarm system completely as they can be a source of gremlins later...even if you solve current "issue" My last road going zed had a secret kill switch fitted up under the dash which disabled the carter electric fuel pump.
  18. Certainly very nice work on these cars... My guess is the airbox is fully fabricated & may have some parts incorporated into custom work.
  19. I just which it was backing that trailer with a RED 240z into my garage!
  20. I always thought "Landy" was short for Land Rover It was a 100 series Toyota Landcruiser in the photo backing trailer in the Garage Has Toyota now taken over the title...they are more popular!
  21. Great car & we know its in good hands Look forward to progress...any chance it will be at NDN15 in Warwick Qld?
  22. Agree - Jim @ SMART Automotive is good call in Brisbane, had 20 years of "good experiences" with him & my zed's... Gav, Have a rear bumper if you get totally stuck...
  23. Hi Richard SNR, I agree they are very useful & something most people should do more of... At the last 2 MP events last year, David Robertson did setup a Go-Pro on various cars & we have some great footage! Will see if we can upload some onto Youtube & then post link to give everyone a laugh... The silver fox was on a hot one on that occasion - think the fact he had such as "high speed off" it scared him into retirement!
  24. Just pickup your car & say thanks - BUT No thanks... go somewhere else!
