Joe Grupe was a great guy (sadly departed some years back - heart condition) but one of the truly genuine gentleman of the car club scene. His old orange z either was or became Kalahari Tan and was converted to a fantastic tarmac rally z by Richard Galley in Qld. Now in WA with a Mr Moir and still competing in Tarmac Rallies!

Hi Good points raised & certainly considered holding... Guess the issue of having full welded roll cage & cut out panels for ZG flares, along with a "slight" addiction for more power has me questioning logic of keeping a stock standard L24. Thanks for the advice

Hi Have a standard reconditioned 240z motor that has been lying around for over 5 years - would like it gone! Is a matching numbers engine for my 1972 240zg replica race car - BUT as it will never see life in that car there is no point keeping it! It has genuine nissan oil filter & I filled it with penrite HPR30 back in 2006/07 & turned over occasionally. Has P30 block & E88 head combo. $850 + freight seems a fair price to go to a good home Original carbs available at extra cost - but they are not reconditioned UPDATE: PM any offers as it will be going up on FleaBay by the end of the week if no interest - deserves a good home

Agree with aftermarket panel fit A few years back I bought the Taiwan sourced front guards & the the couple of hundred dollars I saved was more than spent trying to get them to fit right (even had to unpick spot welds & move brackets to get them to align on major body bolt holes!) :'(

Hi Sikiflex works just fine - tested my 2 zed cars cars at Bathurst in 2010 & no drama! Remember to buy the correct product & for perspex etc. it comes with a separate sikiflex primer to ensure good bonding. However, don't stress too much as one of my rear screens did not use primer & it still stayed in down conrod with the windows fully open.

Hi I am 196cm (short ) & fit in my zed with race helmet no problems I had my 1974 tarmac rally car's original floor mounting points modified lower & also managed to keep the 260z adjustable runners fitted to velo seat brackets (with a bit of further modding) Can photograph for you if that helps
