    Hi You are looking at a 400+ man hour job just on rust repairs - as long as you appreciate that & can smile through the process of finding more "rust" it can be enjoyable to rebirth a car! Paid someone to do a 300 hour rust job back in 2007 & very happy with the results - even though (after sandblasting) the car looked more suitable to strain spaghetti in an Italian restaurant! Gook luck

    Hi I think the real point here is they are not suitable for Zed's & last time I checked this a 240/260/280 forum/site. Sounds like they are more suited to a front wheel drive vehicle forum/site Good luck with the sale as they are nice wheels - just need to be a different offset

    Thanks Jason, I don't free so bad about my "minor" off at THC last year! :'( That would have been very scary for all parties involved - you don't think of carried scuba gear in tarmac rally

    Hi I think I have what your after I presume you are talking about the removable panel in front of the windscreen (the one the wiper mechanism comes through) the one I have in storage is Yellow in colour - but in very good condition (no rust/bog etc) PM if interested

    I think that justifies an end to this thread :'( Life is short & I hope for everyone's sake a resolution can be found :-\ However - one thing is for certain - it (a resolution) won't occur by discussing on an "open forum". I don't know any details & I think what details exist can only be properly dealt with by those few people with first hand knowledge. Sorry - if I offend anyone

    Hi As is where is condition (based on a quick review of your photobucket photo link & my previous restoration of a 1977 260Z 2+2) I would say well below $10K. I would guess an estimate to properly rust repair & partially re-paint would be in the order of $5K :-\ Without meaning to cause offence (my apologies if it does) - the cost involved + your current expectations are most likely the reason for limited interest

    Hey 260DET I would not say it qualifies as a "budget build" anymore! Has a very fresh "hi-pro" motor in it now & he is whipping us all in the Morgan Park supersprints now! :'( Well done Mike & Robin & good to see everyone finished the rally despite some problems

    Yea - hurry up with the changeover & get the silver fox racing team back together! I have already put my fresh tarmac engine in the 260Z & going for a spin tomorrow at Morgan Park for sneaky practice for the final super sprint round! Hope it is equal to the old gem L series Mr Milliner gave me - if not - the old one is going straight back in!

    Hi Knew the car when it was built many years ago Larry put a stroker 3.1 litre motor c/w 48mm triple webers - when he raced in marque sports (his son Lex also competed) Was bought a couple of years back by one of the Qld Z car members to get the stroker motor - then on sold remainder to Victoria. I will check with our club committee as I think Larry actually provided video's of this car racing - so we could have some worthwhile footage for you!
