  1. Reviving an old thread here... My calipers are 'S13W' - all good; but I note above there's S13W (A, B C)! - trying to work out which 'Hilux Surf' rebuild kit I need to order Confused.
  2. Hi guys, Anyone got a spare lying around? Cheers, Mike M
  3. Just saw this Richard, what's 1/3 quarter diameter? And yep, of interest. Will they bolt up to the HIF44s?
  4. Good points. thanks guys
  5. Sorry for the belated reply - been racing :-) Yeah longer the better! They'll be going on HIF44s I was looking at 65mm.
  6. Hi guys, Anyone have SU air-horns they'll part with? Optimally with filters? Cheers, Mike M
  7. As described. It's for a 2+2 but I don't think there's any difference. Cheers! Mike M
  8. Hey guys, Reviving a thread from the dead as I couldn't find an answer in search. Primarily I wanted to know if the 280zx distributor cap varied year to year - Mine is a 12-80 (well that's what is stamped on the side). I couldn't find a cap using the Bosch site. But it would appear to be a GH613-C? I was also keen to know why welding up the vacuum advance is a bad idea if one doesn't care about efficiency. Kind Regards, Mike M
  9. 260Z 2+2, L28, 140 rwhp. Bridgestone RE003s Wakefield: 1:18.5
  10. Hi guys, A quick wrap up - The car is awesome. I've attached a few pics from the day (How do you do this now) We did a 1:18 in practice which seemed pretty fast at the time until I read the times you guys are doing! On the August track day we had a master cylinder failure (no biggie); then in Sep we had fuel starvation (bigger issue). got the tank dipped (Riverstone radiators - bloody legends) and found the remainder of a fuel filling nozzle in the tank that was deteriorating! On top of the sludge we though we had found our issue. We started on the grid for lemons (that's another story), and off we went. Raced for about 2 hours...and started to lose power - (as detailed on a previous thread) the deets: - Most prominent turning right under load - fuel tank full!!! - Happens after an hr of racing - totally fine prior - Engine falters but once backed off comes good again What we did to diagnose Carbs tuned (SUs) Tank dipped and cleaned - pickup and return clean New filters Return and delivery checked (elec fuel pump at correct pressure for carbs) Engine fuel lines wrapped in foil Carb bowls not hot (heat shield between headers and bowls) Vapor lines all clear (run to atmosphere just to confirm!) - After some advice and closely studying other setups out there we think we'll put in a swirl pot at the pickup and bin the stock pin hole orifice and replace with a pressure regulator. Any other advice? Mike M
  11. Revising a dead thread. I have a 76 2+2 and require a LHS sill. I was told by the panel beater that the 240z/260z coupe had the same length sills and only the dog leg was different... So. Can I use a 240z sill on a 260z 2+2. Cheers, Mike M
  12. Very interesting - I note that the cutoff is still 1972 though!!! Noting that the original post was made in 2014 - I assume no change?
  13. Hi guys, Reading through the group Sc rules and car eligibility - the only mention of Datsuns are coupes... what about bus racing? Anyone doing it? Haven't seen any... Cheers, Mike M
  14. Legends thanks guys, I'll post on this thread after the test and tune on the 24th on progress! I'll let you know about Lemons also.
  15. Gooood stuff Ahh that's annoying RE breather! Well I'll at least check the level then! Cheers
