  1. Stuart finally sent me soundproofing. It just took 8 months. Sadly, still no sign of the carpet. Strange, because he assured me the carpet was underway on January 27. That they should be ready on Feb 10, that he'd worked it out with his suppliers on July 27 and they'd be ready the following week. August 8 he confirmed the carpets had been finished and were on their way to me. August 29 he again assured me they would be finished the following week. October 3 he said they'd be finishing them off next week. Now he says that his supplier is refusing to make them and he can't get access to the pattern, asked if I could possibly trace them out for him. I can't wait to see where it goes from here, or what lie I'm told next. My favourite is still his dead dog that caused weeks of heartache and delay, shortly followed by the death of a close friend, his sick fiance, and that week he himself was sick. Poor guy.
  2. That was me. I"m up to 9 months I've been waiting now. And no, they aren't moulded. I did get the soundproofing last month. Apparently the carpet still coming though, but his dog died, his fiance was sick, the business making them has troubles, but he assures me every week he's onto it. How long did yours take? And do you have a pic of them installed ??
  3. Funny you mention that. I swear they were all clipons. But I checked and the clutch and brake are firmly bonded, and just the dodgy one is a slip on, and it seems to be a slightly different pedal. The two bonded are one colour blue, the gas pedal another, but they look very similiar, SO I think they just found the closest fit they could find. I'm not terribly observant so I if that's what they did I guess it worked. Sadly, Now I have to figure out how to get off the first two (they seem to have screws coming out the back that I can't unscrew from the front, so I fear I may have to take off the whole pedal assembly just to see what the hell is going on. Probably just wont bother. Grrrrrr.
  4. How did you install yours? Do you have to cut down the existing accelerator pedal, or does it just cover the bottom of?
  5. Hi everyone, Just curious if anyone knows of any decent looking pedal covers or preferably replacement pedals for a 260z. The covers that came with my car are pretty dodgy, they look ok except for the one on the accelerator that wasn't long enough and didn't sit firmly (so I've taken it off). I've seen replacement rubbers for the pedals, but wondering if there might be something out there that might add a touch of class. let me know.
  6. Spotted this whilst channel surfing during half time break of Argentina's world cup match. Segment was on Top gears. Worst dressed presenter. Hmm.
  7. I'm amazed this scene hasn't been mentioned yet. BRING IT ON .. CARWASH SCENE ..
  8. Hi everyone, firstly apologies to the community for bringing up an old thread but this ole thread still appears very high on Google Searches for Ausclassics. Many years after problems with this supplier were first raised they are sadly still continuing. :'( 5 months after I ordered and paid for my carpet I have nothing but a small handful of emails from the owner promising to chase up my order. The only excuse I've yet received is that his dog died and that he was sick one week. Stuart no longer replies to my emails or answers my phone calls. I've said it elsewhere, AVOID THIS SHONKY BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS .. Thanks for reopening the thread GAV. Appreciate it.
  9. I got the full leather in black with white stitching. It's gorgeous.
  10. I'd suggest everyone stay away from ausclassic .. almost four months later and still nothing for me. I'm told every week that they will be completed by Friday and shipped. Then it repeats. I'll be putting in a complain in to ACCC next week. Still no proof that any work is even under way. Guess I give TruFit a shot.
  11. Gumtree ad says "Sellers name: Warren" .. I think you're onto something.
  12. Yup, Can see that one. I need to do this also, sadly I have no idea what you needed to do to get this working. What exactly did you need to do, buy that part, then rotate it 180 degrees and file a spot for that little tab to go into ? (or is it still a work in progress) ??
  13. Sorry to bump an old thread. My girlfriend ended up giving me a "gift voucher" (She handed me a bundle of cash) at Xmas to order some carpet from http://www.ausclassics.com.au/ Two months later, the only update I've gotten from them is this: That was back in February. I'm still waiting for an update.
  14. No love for AFL Dreamteam (I can barely maintain that team or I'd be all over Supercoach) Any dreamteam players want to start a league, let me know.
  15. Finally found someone with some options. Aside from the shitty ones, they had these .. From: http://www.seatbeltsolutions.com.au in Perth. $65 for the one with the red button, $70 for the other. That's just for the buckles. Oh jebus, this isn't going to be cheap.
