Its not to be a race car or anything like that aslong as it drives and moves it will be fine. Unless theres a better option to use the bell housing off it onto another common to find gearbox?

Umm well my mate had it laying around frabbed it off him for maybe a manual conversion for my 260z was wondering if it would work on the l26?

It sits like half way down crossmember from memory. Should be fine or just tacweld a slide plate to it

Going a different route gana keep the standard engine rather than rb. I forget the volume ill try to find it out tomorrow from memory its 1lt more than standard. I mounted on but never put oil in it but has had the welds leak tested and no leaks were found.
