  1. Jason I can confirm with good authority that Mr Roberson's motor is a 2900cc L28 (ex Lee Falkner - Wes Engines motor before Lee went down the stroker route) He whipped us all good with a 2.38 with some decent brakes & aero (inductions same as your old Group Sc car & with Motec)
  2. 1 in 10 blocks if your lucky...N42 blocks seem to sonic up with more meat than the F54 for some reason
  3. Hi Peter, I think we have some pedal boxes hanging around the shed. Will take a look and let you know
  4. About time you considered ditching the other L series (LS )
  5. UPDATE Stroker motor SOLD pending payment next week. I have decided to keep the EFI Injection setup for my current motor. For the record - 3 or 4 people were serious in making offers & I did carefully note who made contact first to be fair to all concerned. I wasn't after the highest price for the stroker engine - just a fair price. I think a bidding war would have left a sour taste for those involved. At this point the motor has been sold to the person who was first in line.
  6. Sorry guys forgot to update. Wheels have been SOLD. Ended up selling on Flea Bay Going on Toyota AE86 project
  7. Jon has a low 300 number green zed
  8. Ok - I have some photo's to put up of the Stroker engine (tappet cover/Sump removed for condition/spec purposes) Specifications as follows: Just under 3.1 Litre L Series Stroker with lightened/knife edged LD28 crank (NOS V07) N42 modified head by JHH c/w stainless oversized valves, Brass guides etc 0.500 lift profile camshaft L28 F54 block bored out to 89mm (approx. 10 blocks sonic tested before one was found to be suitable) Standard Rods with Cast KA24 89mm pistons All internal components fully balanced prior to final assembly Inside Block has deburred to remove any potential for loose casting flash etc. Modified sump internals Ross Tuffbond Harmonic Balancer Lightened steel flywheel with HD Clutch/Pressure plate assembly Engine can be inspected in Sydney at present by arrangement only - please PM for details This motor based on the above specs should be considered as a Hot street motor - rather than a "race engine". Great solid fresh package for zed or other L Series powered Nissan/Datsuns Still chasing the dyno sheet from Motec Qld who setup engine with EFI/Motec induction - records available but its back in 2010 and agent is super busy and may need some solid incentive to provide
  9. Hey Jason, Been a while since we caught up...bit harder now your not a local! Any Zed storage at your old place This stroker is the one Simon built with my brand new LD28 stroker crank. John Hill at JHH did head work/machining. It last ran in Greg's car at eastern creek meeting. Then we ran into James Flett & he built our Tarmac motors under 3 litre.
  10. Correct - it was Targa high country a few years back & I think the rear strut towers were ok so it was a graft from there to the back (explains the holes)
  11. Jon & Gina will be hard to beat & if it rains he will walk away with it
  12. Aftermarket LED lights fitted & yes in the 260z style
  13. Hopefully details/photos on Wednesday 26/4/17 - sorry for the stuff around but please appreciate without some photos & specs - no one knows what they are getting! Original engine builder couldn't recall exact specs - so tappet cover/sump will be removed to verify I have kept a bit of a running list of who contacted me first etc. - so I can prioritise who has first, second option etc. Thought it is only fair based on my sketchy list regarding engine specs...
  14. PM replied to ALL I hope to have a few photos and detailed engine specs shortly
  15. Thought 112 Lime/yellow was 1972 only...
  16. No Richard SNR - just need to rationalize what I have sitting around... Since I bought the very clean road going green 240z - something has gotta give! Blue tarmac zed will eventually have to go and I will then concentrate on my 2 x green 240z's...one track & one road I don't have unlimited funds or sponsors
  17. SOLD 3.1 Stroker - brand new genuine NOS VO7 diesel crank used in build N42 Race Ported head & Stainless oversized valves, Scorcher Electronic Dizzy. Redline inlet manifold, EFI hardware 48mm tapered race series ITB's & run by MOTEC M48 ECU MOTEC professionally built custom wiring loom with all necessary sensors etc Package has been successfully run and dynoed by MOTEC Qld agent - made approx 230RWHP in a 240z (may even be able to find dyno sheet for what it's worth...) This is a "bolt-in" off you go setup. Reason for sale - surplus to needs due to unexpected road going 240z purchase . Used for approx. 6 x super sprints between late 2009 & early 2011. Engine removed as a new engine package was built for Tarmac rally to meet under 3 litre & webers for compliance with rules at the time. $30k spent on this package & barely used. Sell $15k or near offers including freight to Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide EFI hardware Injection setup with Motec ECU/Loom Worth over $10k alone May separate - but it will mean I am keeping the injection! NOTE: Engine photos to follow - ITB's setup on standard L24 for photos ONLY
  18. To my way of thinking - the bodywork condition is the critical item in assessing value... Those who have restored or sandblasted a car will know what I mean!
  19. Thanks Richard SNR, Pretty happy with the purchase...even if my lovely wife is NOT Hard to beat it for potential longer term investment & enjoyment
  20. Hey Aubrey, Glad to hear at the last zed meeting you escaped any major flooding at your place.. Shame you couldn't make the autobarn meeting...I had forgotten just how large that shop was!
  21. And a green :)one too!
  22. I know Ira Berk were in Brisbane at the time... Its where I saw my first Zed and got hooked!
  23. Also, it is only 80 litre fuel tank and range is not a problem...which amazed me as I tow with a mate how has FJ cruiser and he put in an extra 15 litres for same distance traveled
  24. Yes that was the range I was expecting - but due to torque it just is not working hard and has to be one of the most effortless cars I have used to tow with. Our other car is a 150 series prado V6 and its working hard and delivering 18 litres/100km when towing (12.5 - 13 litres when on hwy without towing)
  25. Surprisingly well 15-17 litres/100km around city Done 3 road trips so far to Sydney & Bathurst and towing 2 tonne loaded dual axle car trailer it also gets between 15 - 17 litres/100km without car trailer its doing 10.2 -11 litres/100km very impressed
